This is a difficult review to write, because I had quite a good time at Cactus Pete's, but you probably won't. See - I'm not picky when I travel. I've stayed at some of the best hotels in the world, and some of the very worst, and I tend to enjoy both. Cactus Pete's wasn't the worst by any means.... more

After a 3 1/2 hour drive, I hoped to relax in a quiet comfortable room. We arrived at our room on the second floor at about 4:30pm. The third floor was under renovation work from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm.. The noise level was very high with impact tools (sounded like jack hammers) scraping, grinding and dropped tools. There was... more

My VIP cub man got us a Granite Room for the night after the whole city was booked for the Big and Rich concert. Nice room. Bottle of wine and some cheese stuff(nice touch). the concert tickets were comp; 3 rows from the stage. Good music, nice time. Not sure why there are bad comments about Pete's. It is one... more

I was at one of the Tables 21 playing when a man light up a cigarette and turn towards me and blew his smoke in my face. Plus he had his lighted cigarette by my oxygen line. I got up and ask him why he did that for. The pit boss came over to me and started chewing me out,informing... more

The second night we were in Jackpot, we thought we would spoil ourselves and stay in hotel that offered a little bit more than where we stayed the first night (swimming pool, hot tub). We chose Cactus Petes. TIP: never ask for prices on room, you will be treated differently! I stepped up the registration counter and asked for availability... more

We travel from Montana to Utah a couple times a year and have stopped here several times to relax and break up the trip (Oh yeah - and to gamble!). For such a small town, Cactus Pete's was a very pleasant surprise. The rooms are large and very well maintained. We have noticed a smoky odor in the "non-smoking" rooms... more

11-7 to 11-14-06 Great place to stay. Showers and restrooms very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Can't beat the price, $13.00 a day and the seventh day free. Park well maintained. Close to the casinos but far enough from the highway so it is quiet. more
