The hotel room was clean! Big bonus for an old small motel. They completely overdid the room deodorizer and they ice and hand package it however it is still welcome on a hot day. Staff was polite with one snark after I requested another towel for the room. Overall, great choice if you find yourself needing lodging in this little... More

We stayed at the "Lodge" on our way to Phoenix, AZ. Yes, the room was cheap but I did NOT expect to find used styrofoam cups in the bathroom, one had a pubic hair in it, and there was filth and dirt everywhere. I could almost guarantee that the sheets had NOT been changed as they were NOT clean. Had... More

We stayed here en route from Yosemite to Ely and were relieved to find such a decent motel as we were too tired to drive any further. A lot of the other motels in the town looked rundown and the only other decent looking motel was charging $99 which was extortionate as there wasn't even a pool. The Holiday Lodge... More

We have stayed at this place before with no issue. We informed the woman checking is in that we had had pets (2 dogs) and she flipped. She raised her voice and started telling us "they better not mess up the room" and "I better not find any hair". We were staying for 2 nights and the next day after... More

If you pass through enough small towns you’ll see them, generic-looking two-story motels with neon by the curb promising a “lodge.” So it was the evening I cruised into Hawthorne on Highway 95, having briefly considered camping along a shore of nearby Walker Lake. The day had suddenly become dark and uninviting, the campground deserted (cue coyotes howling in the... More

There is nothing special about this place. With that said you will get a clean and comfortable room, free WIFI, HBO and nothing more. There is no breakfast, the shampoo is in packets, and there is a small refrigerator and microwave. The price is only $44.80 per night and this is the best place to stay when in Hawthorne, if... More

Sam took my reservation a couple of weeks in advance. No confirmation number but Sam greeted me at the front desk and had the reservation at his fingertips. The furniture was a little old,but everything was very clean, the room was large and the internet was free. The price $40/night was great. Would definitely stay if business takes me back... More

I chose the Holiday Lodge based on TA reviews. I was so disappointed! First let me say, the owners were dear...very friendly and accomodating. The room was dreadful It smelled bad, I found a HUGE roach within 5 minutes of checking in....the bathmat was a car floor mat!!! The night stands were TV trays, the chairs were old rickety office... We stayed there for 3 nights. It was very quiet as the building was perpendicular to the main street. Staff was very nice and helped us when we needed it. For $50 a night, it was a real bargain. The room was large and well maintained with a good air conditioner.

I am sure that our room was as clean as it could be, but was so tired that it was hard to be sure. Everything worked but was a hodgepodge of furnishings. The owner was friendly. We were able to walk to any one of several restaurants and casino. Of the options in Hawthorne, this was probably the best value... More
