Mark Twain reviewed this resort back in 1887 saying in effect "he was relieved of pain and gained in spirit." The hot springs and rustic setting in Genoa, Nevada's oldest settlement, just might do the trick for us modern folk as well. My wife and I spent a relaxing week in a 2-bedroom unit in the Bodie building. The unit... More

I won a vacation to this resort and tried to set up my stay. There were a million hidden charges and arcane rules. The vacation was not worth the hurdles, if I could have gotten a refund before going I would have.

We ended up making a fairly last minute booking between Christmas and New Years, Our expectations were low...who would have openings at that time of year close to a ski resort? WE were pleasantly surprised. Quiet, scenic location S. of Carson City, just 20 min drive to S.Lake Tahoe Ski resort. The accommodations were nice: Kitchenette even in the studio,... More

Drove 4 hours from SFO airport to this place, Genoa, near Lake Tahoe. Don't trust the Google map location (on this address of David Walley Resort). It off by 200meters (in the middle nowhere) - near enough for you to find it. The hot spring resort is very serene, secluded, quiet. Easy access to hiking trails. Genoa town brings you... More

We stayed in a studio room. It was clean, but uncomfortably small. Noise from other units and the outdoors was an issue. I think it would be a huge issue in summer months when everyone is out on the patios and balconies. The location is lovely. Not all rooms come with hot springs passes.(which are now up to $50 a... Our second visit here as a timeshare exchange - we liked it so much we had to come back even though the skiing was disappointing this year. We were pleasantly surprised that one of the ladies at the desk even recognized us on our arrival! The Hot Springs are still very relaxing after a busy day! We got the 2... More

We recently had two units here for our large family New Year's reunion. Our son is an owner and he was able to get an extra unit for us downstairs from his apartment. The condos were clean and nicely furnished. The children loved the hot springs and we all enjoyed eating at Harriet's. The setting is beautiful next to the... More

The rooms are nice. But, they are all lock off. There is zero insulation between the rooms. Every single word can be heard of a conversation in the next room. The people next to us went out leaving their dogs alone, which howled for 2 hours straight. Then they were up till 3 AM blasting the TV and loudly talking... More

Owner and satisfied with recent stay at resort. Thankful to Jan Reclusabo for making miracles happen for last minute girls getaway trip for myself, daughter and bff. Stayed at Bodie and Canyon buildings for a few days to enjoy the hotsprings for R&R. Jan has been such a sweetheart for accommodating us and making our stay a memorial one. Kelly... More

After coming here several times they are certainly slipping in a few areas. This visit the unit we were in was a bit neglected on a few little things but things so simple they should have been fixed before anyone was put in the room. Not sure if the previous tenants had children or not but there were smears and... More
