Ok....don't let this place fool you from the outside. The surprise is inside. Crazy collection of mining paraphenalia,, motorcycles, great cowboy art and on and on. Quite Delightful actually. Slots!! Free drinks & a waitress! Room was very comfortable and clean. Caution: shower quite dark. That is the only thing to complain about. Heard the restaurant was good but didn't... More

Both my husband and I travel often and this is one of the nicer properties we have stayed at. Staff was friendly, everything was clean and the hotel was recently remodeled. The onsite restaurant and lounge was convenient and reasonable. We will definitely be back here if we're in the area!

The pros: The staff was friendly and the gal in the restaurant makes the best margarita you'll find for $5. The cons: The hallways stink of stale cigarette smoke. We were far from the tiny "casino" (just some slot machines) but the smoke stench goes far down the hall. The walls are thin and besides hearing people the plumbing is... More

This situation is one of the unfortunate pitfalls of the hospitality industry. We are exposed to people from all walks of life, with a wide range of needs, on a daily basis. We take all complaints seriously. Regarding the smoke " stench" we installed new smoke eaters about six months ago. To the best of my knowledge, we haven't received... More

We delivered an aluminum statue of a COW and stayed the night. People were super welcoming and friendly, and the room we had was awesome. First rate all the way! Amenities were all you need: pool and nice jacuzzi, weight room, slot machines if you're so inclined. We ate at their new Mexican restaurant; I had the best shrimp I've... More

Our room was truly equipped with our pups in mind. Our room is right by the exit for easy outs. Tile floors, dog beds, dog biscuits, etc. We have stayed here before, but our room this time was my favorite. Picture frames and decor of old barn wood, nicely crafted, with old mining photos. Tables and headboard of barrels and... More

Great facilities and a superb Mexican Restaurant. We always travel with our dogs and they were treated like royalty. They have a motorcycle display featruring antique Harleys and Indians. We even received free maragaritas at check-in. We will definitely be back.

The rooms were very clean. The beds not so comfortable, but was nicer than I thought it would be. The Hotel staff was friendly and help full. The Resteraunt was over priced and the staff was rude and you had to find them if you needed coffee or refills. All in All a good time just nit the resteraunt

Both my wife and I were extremely impressed with this hotel. Clean, friendly and comfortable. There is a restaurant and lounge at the property that was very convenient and a nice quaint casino as well. We will definitely be back.

We have stayed in Ely many times on our way to visit family and this was our first time at the prospector. What a dog friendly hotel! Dog bones in the rooms, poop bags provided, stone tile floors, dog beds provided. We will be back! Way to go Prospector!

We recently spent two nights at the Prospector for a family wedding. There were many wedding guests staying there and the desk staff was totally prepared for our arrivals. Our room was furnished in a casino style but others we saw had totally different motifs. The breakfasts were very good as was the wedding dinner. The staff was courteous and... More
