Our room was pleasant and staff nice while checking in. Rooms are non-smoking which is great. However, the Hall is very smokey! Casino is also full of smoke. Don't think we would stay again due to smoke all around. They have a restaurant, which was awful Mexican food!!! Cold and no spice!

This is by far the best hotel on my three weeks trip. The rooms are large, it would be easy to fix them as suites. The furniture is first class, the bed just right, even the bright yellow rubberduck sits at the bathtub. I can't find anything to critizise. In the end it is a reason for me to stay... More

The room were outstanding. Tile floors, dog beds, dog treats. Big screen tv, comfortable bed. The indoor pool and spa were refreshing. Service very friendly. Include a bag of popcorn upon registration and card for a free margarita and a free spin on the mega millions slot machine. The Mexican restaurant onsite food was good. The outside grounds could have... More

Thank you for your kind words about our establishment. However, I just have to chuckle at your comment regarding our brown grass … because I am looking out the window right now and it is snowing. We always wait until Memorial Day to start our landscaping. Thank you for staying with us and we look forward to your next visit. More

We are staying here to visit the nat park. When we first came to the lobby I did smell a little smoke but the rooms r very nice, updated and clean. We did not want Mexican food so the front desk suggested a nearby diner called the Silver Stake. We were most pleased. Later we used our freebies in the... More

If traveling through Ely, NV I would stay here again... + comfortable beds and updated rooms + on-site food and entertainment (if interested) + plenty of parking + historic artifacts throughout the hotel - stale tobacco smell upon entry but not in rooms - slow check in but it was late so perhaps a "fill in" person

The RV portion of the Prospector is "okay" for spending the night while passing through. Not very many sites, however they do have 30 and 50 amp service, water and sewer. No restrooms except in the Hotel/Casino and no showers available. At 22 bucks a night, it's fairly cheap. With that, you get access to the indoor pool and hot... More

We stay at the Prospector every time we travel through. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Now they have huge big screen tv's which are nice with lots of viewing choices. The restaurant has changed to a total Mexican menu, and the food was not good. Restaurant used to be very good, too bad they changed. Breakfast was ok ...... More

I stayed at the Prospector while traveling to California from Idaho. I have to say, this place might have the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. I think the whole hotel was recently remolded as well. Food was good at the onsite restaurant and had a night cap at the lounge before bed. Would definitely recommend this place!
