Overall, I liked staying at the Hotel Nevada. The history and the feel of it was rather nice. I have to quibbles, though. 1) The elevator is so slow that the stairs are actually quicker. 2) I asked for a non-smoking room and ended up with a smoker's room that didn't feel like it had been aired out in years.... Gone couple of times now and they have excellent pricing. Its older and cool lots to look at. Staff friendly. They have cool collections of different stuff from past. Like old pistals, coins, pictures, and rattle snakes.

This was the first hotel in America to have an elevator. The rooms are small, but well appointed. Included flat screen TV a keurig coffee maker. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The walls in the halls are covered with photos and antique items. It has a 24 hour cafe inside and a small casino. It is in the... More

Nice historical hotel in the middle of town and stayed in the Ingrid Bergman suite. Somewhat of a museum with lots of interesting pictures and displays to study. Breakfast was awesome. Try "Those Potatoes".

I see Hotel Nevada has tried to incorporate newer amenities into older rooms. But not very successfully. Our kids' room was very dirty; ours was okay. Biggest problem is the beds. Three out of four of us were up in the night sitting or standing. What a miserable night. And we were at the front of the building where the... More

I travel 3 times a year between Boise and Las Vegas, and normally make the 10 hour drive. But on this occasion, I got tired only half way through the trip, and spontaneously decided to stop in Ely. I normally just stay in branded hotels. But the Hotel Nevada appealed to me as the bright spot in the downtown Ely... More

We typically seek out Quirkey, and quaint hotels. Hotel Nevada certainly fits the bill. It's clean quaint, and friendly. We stayed in the coveted, Kennecott suite. It appears to be three hotel rooms, made into one sweet, suite. The Decour is missed matched. But, somehowthat adds to the charm. There are few times when you arrive at a hotel, and... More

The Hotel Nevada is a place that makes the world a better place by bringing the history into the future. I hope and pray the new owners hold on to the great nostalgia while continuing to make the right upgrades. The flat screens in the rooms are a great example. Please train the staff to truly focus on and appreciate... More

Great old Hotel. The theme throughout the hotel is Fantastic. Food is terrific and priced affordable. Some hotels in Australia should take a lesson from this hotel. We spent two months in USA this hotel will stay in my memory for a very long time. Thank you Hotel Nevada for the memories.

We stay here every year on our way to Las Vegas. Staff are friendly & accomodating, the food is good (especially the pizza & breakfasts) and it's the only live gambling in town. The dealers are so friendly compared to the big city casinos. The rooms are old but that's to be expected in an old hotel. The beds are... More
