This was my first overnight stay in Ely, Nevada. This charming hotel built in the 1920s has lots of old Nevada memorabilia. They have Starbucks and a nice bar. I had a ribeye steak and baked potato. For breakfast I had the daily special, asparagus and Gorgonzola omelette. There is a casino with what appears to be lots of locals... More

If you like big rooms, modern look, the latest hotel fashion, don't stay here. If you like "personality", great service, and all the convenience you can find under one roof, consider whether you can get by these small drawbacks. (Take note: we stayed in one of the most basic rooms, 204. Other reviewers describe the larger rooms and suites). Our... More

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Nevada for our one year wedding anniversary this past weekend. First the good: The hotel was built in 1929 so it's got really cool historic value. Downstairs is the casino floor. I won pretty big on the slots! The usual free drinks if you're playing. The walls are covered in tons of... More

Our time frame just happened to coincide with our seven year wedding anniversary and as the traditional theme for seven years to be hitched is 'copper', we chose to stay in the Kennecott suite on the sixth floor The room was used for visiting Kennecot copper dignitaries way back when. This room was booked for the first night so we... More

The room was indeed very cheap, I think the cheapest we had on our trip. Nonetheless it was very clean. The beds make various noises but I guess this is something to expect from such an old Hotel. We ordered food for our room, but the food was kinda cold, and not very good unfortunately. Anyway, we enjoyed staying there... More

I had the Ingrid Bergman Suite for 2 nights in June. Everything in the room was in good working order. The staff second to none in making me feel welcome! I really enjoyed my stay! I will stay at Hotel Nevada again!

While compiling a description of the Hotel Nevada in Ely, Nevada I find the unique ambiance difficult to capture. It is no doubt best stayed at to capture the hotel's special charm. So if you ever find yourself in Ely I do recommend the minimum stop in for a meal in the Hotel Nevada restaurant. Better yet spend at least... More

This is a fun historic place to stay that caters to motorcyclists! It has history and cater oozing form it's very pores! This place is a hoot! It has recently been purchased and is under new management and under going some much needed updating. Hopefully they don't go too far and lose it's soul. The history is what makes this... More

I just returned from a trip to Ely to visit a family member there, and all I have to say are positive things about this gem in very rural Nevada. I was traveling with my mom, and we reserved the Kennecott Suite, which rents for $150/night on weekdays. I am airline crew, and as such stay in hotels all over... More

This is the only hotel that I've given 5 stars in my two week holiday. It's not because it was the biggest room, the cleanest room, the best bathroom, the most luxurious towels or the best restaurant because it was none of them. It's because it had something that is missing from many American hotels, it had character. How many... More
