We came into Ely after a great trip from Elko, boy were we in for a surprise! Got the Kennecott Suite, at the Hotel Nevada. The Hotel was so historic and felt so darn comfortable. Staff were nice and we felt right at home. Now the Kennecott Suite, two ample bedrooms, two full baths, a gorgeous living room, all fully... More

We were out wandering around and stumbled into Ely. It just happened to be the weekend of the Silver State Classic and we were tired of being rained on. We saw the town and this hotel in particular and decided to stay the night. Well after enjoying the first nights stay and activities we decided to to stay a second... More

After reading many reviews, I decided my daughter and I would stay here for our two night stay in Ely, NV. We were on a room on the 5th floor and it was small. The rooms are old looking, but they were very clean. The carpet was soft and the bed was comfy. Our air conditioner worked perfectly. The bathroom... More

Its in the heart of Ely, so the location is great. The slot machines are not bad. The rooms are SMALL, remember this is an old hotel. The AC in my room was so dirty and I heard some critters playing in it. Gross. CLEAN IT!!!! Because I had some drinks in me, I slept well, but otherwise, it needed... More

Fairly cheap (c.$55) and well worth it. Shame that some c.80's makeover introduced some ookie-cutter motel-like decor although the bath is retained. I would have preffered unrestored, even it were more tatty. Loved the plumbing - that's just what an historic hotel stay should deliver....character! Good for an overnight

After all, the Hotel was built in 1929. Not only does the water fluctuate from hot to freezing with no notice, the shower stall is quite small as is the entire bathroom. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. But if you are a light sleeper, the noise from the TV next door might interfer with a good night... More

Great old hotel. Nothing fancy, but lots of atmosphere. We stayed in the Gary Cooper room, which meant there was an assortment of old photos and posters on the walls. Price of the room included a free beer at the bar across the street and a free Margarita in the hotel bar. Staff was great. Little on-site casino was full... More

This is a fun place to stay but don't expect any modern frills, it is, after all, a 1929 building and that is reflected in its style. The only modern aspect of my room was the flat screen television, which seemed out of place. I had a room on the 3rd floor, front, which was quiet, comfortable and decidedly quaint,... More

This is the best place to stay in downtown Ely, and is a good bet. There is a modern business class alternative, but it is far from town. The Hotel Nevada puts you smack in the middle of Main Street, small town America, and especially the small town American friendliness and hospitality. Everyone was sincerely friendly, and seemed happy to... More

A lovely old hotel, that was very quaint. Regulating water for a shower is a challenge but it's a sign of it's age. The rooms were clean and the staff was very, very friendly. For the price, it was a fantastic deal. Restaurant had good food and is open 24 hours which accommodated us well since we got in late. The beds'... More
