When I was a young girl, my father took my family to Ely to see the Lehman Caves, which is an underground cave. It was so great that I wanted to take my family back to the same area. First I took my husband to see if he thought the family would like the trip because Ely is in the... More

When I don't need to stay in a chain hotel, I prefer an independent motel like this. It's non-smoking (yay), the rooms are clean and the staff is delightful. The internet worked well, you can walk downtown easily and there are some restaurants nearby, but not the best. The grounds of this place are beautiful and extremely well kept and... More

I saw this motel on my way to another motel I had booked online. On my way back through on Hwy 50, I stopped at the Bristlecone and walked in. Very friendly and open exchange. Great rate and a good value. Clean rooms and safe location. I'll stay here again on my next trip!

The Bristlecone Motel is a good place to stay in Ely. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and there are some good restaurants nearby that you can walk to. The internet works well also. I arrived early and they cleaned my room right away so I could check in early. I think it is a good value. This... More

We so appreciate that this hotel is completely non smoking- a rarity it seems in Nevada. The hotel was very clean, the front desk was efficient and got us into our room quickly even though we got there early. The grounds are very nice as well. The rooms were well appointed with quilts. The only thing is the fridge did... More

We stayed here for one night when passing through the area. There's not much in this town so it was a great surprise to find such a nice hotel. It was very clean, quiet (our room was away from the main street) and the staff was friendly and helpful. The WiFi worked well too. I would recommend to anyone passing... More

We stayed at the Bristlecone Motel during our trip across Northern Nevada on Hwy 50 based on the positive reviews here on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. When we arrived we were already stunned by the well trimmed and decorated front yard of the Motel. The grass would have made any Irishman jealous and you had lots of flowers and... More

This is a friendly place. Clean and, quiet with a good sized room. Coffee but no breakfast available. We have a dog and that was no problem. They charge $10 per night extra. It's close to a grocery store and many restaurants.

We stayed twice on this trip, 6/29 and 7/18. I've stayed at this motel 5 times, I'll stay here every time passing thru Ely. The rooms are always immaculately clean, the staff always extremely friendly and most helpful. The grounds are well kept with grass and tables to enjoy friendly conversation. A REAL GEM!

We wanted a good quality, reasonably-priced place to stay during a drive across Nevada. Selected Bristlecone Motel after reading several positive reviews. Were were very happy with our stay. Several of the motels in the area seem run-down. This one is very well kept, both inside and out. Staff were friendly, prices reasonable, rooms clean and quiet. The only issue... More
