We stayed here three years ago and were pleasantly surprised although there seemed to be a lot of "rules" and the room was pretty old and dark. This time we are on the second floor in a newly renovated room that is really fine! Light and airy, lovely towels and bed linen, a huge flat screen TV and a brand... More

We stayed here for one night after visiting Great Basin National Park in Baker, Nevada. When we arrived the young lady at the front desk was very friendly! When we got to our room it was very clean. Outdated and old fashioned...well preserved...'60's or '70's decor...which brought back a lot of childhood memories! The only problem we had were the... More

The Bristlecone Motel in Ely is located on Hwy 50 just South of the junction with Hwy 93. It is a pretty standard two-storey motel. It is an older motel, but the rooms are well furnished, clean, and quite adequate for a short stay. There is ample parking just outside the rooms. WiFi is free, but the signal is weak... More

Had to stay in Ely for work for over a month. The bristlecone is the best place to stay in town. A lot of the reason it is good is because Mary at the front desk is friendly, helpful, and accommodating. She made me feel at home.

I stepped into a large, sparkling clean room with homey decor, two huge beds, refrigerator, microwave and Wifi and breathed a huge sigh of relief. Great water pressure and HOT water in the shower washed away those hundreds of miles we'd just driven on the loneliest highway in the US, rte. 50. Mary at the front desk was extremely helpful,... Stayed at the Bristlecone Motel in Ely, Nevada in early April. What a great place in such a small town. Rooms are spacious and clean. Although its along the main highway we never heard a bit of road sounds.

Being snowbirds, we stay in Ely twice a year. We have stayed at most of the hotels here, but thought we would give the Bristlecone Motel a first time try due to it's high ratings on Tripadvisor. We requested a room away from the main road and received a room half ways down the building. No traffic noise was noticeable.... More

We stopped here on a drive south. The proprietor was very accommodating and made sure two weary travelers with pets would have a warm place to sleep for the night. Comfortable, easy to locate and had all the basic necessities including free Wi-Fi and a refrigerator in the room.

I was passing through and looking for an option to the casino motels. Based on previous TripAdvisor ratings and comments, I selected the Bristlecone and was not disappointed. They are basic with no continental breakfast. I'm a light sleeper and was not disrupted by road noise, although I could hear the guest next door snoring. Clean and odor free rooms... More
