Positive: Good size room, good beds, easy parking and access to the room. Negative: Maybe this is not a typical experience at the Jailhouse and maybe this was a case of bad timing for our stay. WiFi never worked; evening and morning. TV never worked in the morning. Could not get the shower to work in the morning, almost pulled... More

The motel is across a narrow side street from the casino and restaurant area. Preferable, because I parked in front of my room and didn't have to lug luggage down long hallways and across vast areas, like more modern casinos. Two queen beds, small TV, free internet connection, amply large room, refrigerator for $131 for Friday and Saturday night over... More

Stayed here again after visiting several years ago. Room was clean and nice other than faucets in sink and tubs. They were pull on style and very hard to pull on and regulate flow of water. Casino small but very nice. Won some money and that always makes it better. Would stay here again if we ever return to this... More

too many different buildings, some very nice people and one very nasty (male) bartender. great ribs and raw potato for dinner, waitress very nice, busser abrupt. Rooms mediocre at best, poor lighting, water spraying everywhere. Next time I'll stay at the Prospector.

I do like how the theme is carried to the documentation in the room. :) Stopped in Ely with no reservations and discovered a recommended motel was closed for the night. As this was right across the street, swung in to see if any room was available. I requested a ground floor room so was asked if the "pet room"... More

I stayed int this hotel for 3 nights. It was a nice little room with everything I needed and nothing I didn't. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. There was a fridge, and the showers were clean as well. The water pressure and temperature was perfect, and there is a built in blow dryer as well. and... More

Our room was clean, comfy, beds were good. It was very convenient to the rest of the town. This was just a stop over after a very long travel day. We had breakfast in the Jailhouse BBQ cafe and it was great! I ordered a scone...it was more like a sopapilla! The waitress called it a "Mormon scone!"

we were planning to stay but unfortunately our bike broke down. They were kind enough to not charge due to our situation. So Thank You Jasmine! Once we got going again a day later, stopped by restaurant for lunch. Had 1/2 sandwich and salty chicken noodle soup. Wasn't too bad. Place was very old. Took out my phone for western... More

Ely, Nevada is a very old and small town so there isn't much to choose from in the way of hotels. If I ever visit again I would go with a more expensive motel/hotel. Although the beds were firm and the room appeared clean there are some definite issues. The chairs were badly soiled and burn holes in the carpet.... More

If we were to stay in Ely again it wouldn't be at the Jailhouse casino and hotel. At $70.00 plus there such be a very poor attempt to hide mold on the floor next to the tub. It is convenient to the casino that I won a few bucks. Smallest tv in any of the places we have stay in... More
