This hotel was an average stay. They did not have breakfast in the building but did offer coupons to a few local restaurants. We were traveling thru from California and did not book until last minute due to our not knowing how far we would make it thru energy wise. Originally booked thru Hotels.com, but when we arrived they could... More

The good, get a discount, because we chose to stay here only because of the price was the cheapest of the other non-casino hotels. The front staff was friendly and the room was very large and clean. The beds were the worst of our two week vacation. They sagged so bad in the middle that my husband and I kept... More

The good - very friendly desk person (Molly). Clean, quiet and up on a hill away from the general ugliness that is downtown Elko at night. The bad - broken-down mattress ruined any possibility of restful sleep. My husband slept sitting up in a chair. Coarse, scratchy bath towels were tiny - the size of salon hair towels.

It wasn't exactly what I expected, but I was surprised by some things. I ended up on the fourth floor. It did have a benefit, there was never any noise, day or night. I slept well. It has the longest hallway of any place I've been. It's 130 yards long and I lived at 102 yards. That's a long way... More

Pros: big rooms and pretty comfortable, non-smoking, good location, they give breakfast vouchers to good restaurants, front desk staff is very nice. Cons: not clean. We have stayed here twice now and both times our room was not in good order. The first time the toilet seat was broken off the toilet! The bathtub was very stained and they say... More

I pulled this little gem on a Hotwire bid. Then I checked all the nasty reviews on TA. I was prepared to be miserable. When I checked in I met Bonnie, AKA Miss Personality, who is also the GM. She was very nice and even offered the hotel van to give us a lift to the Star restaurant. I'm thinking... More

We arrived in Elko about 7pm and had nothing booked. Saw ads for Oak Tree Inn whilst on the freeway so headed there before anywhere else. It was fine and the price included breakfast at a nearby cafe. Room was spacious and quiet. Parking was easy. It was okay but lacked character. Another time I would look into other options... More

This hotel is mostly full of Miners since this hotel has the lowest rate and not far from their work. I was here for business and I saw there was a bug trap in my room. I refused to look in there and see what kind of stuff has been crawling around my room. I visited the gym while staying... More

The staff is unfriendly and bizarre. Don't ask for anything because they'll have no idea what you're talking about. The wifi is spotty at best. It's nice to be close to some restaurants and a decent casino but it's not a place I will be going back to.

Dear BJP, I am sorry for your unhappy experience with our desk staff. We are retraining them to be nice and friendly. We try hard to give the best possible service each and every stay. Best Regards, Bonnie More

I stayed here 2 days recently- Not a bad place, just not great either. Rooms are large, with really dated furniture. The tv is Is a very old 25" one with no jacks or hdmi for a personal dvd player or anything. The rooms do have a small microwave and fridge, so plus there. Great blackout drapes and my room... More
