This is the best-value Best Western I've ever stayed in, possibly because it has an on-site casino. It's very nice, and has become the first place I try to book a room at. I've stayed here 3 times on business. The rooms are large and nicely-decorated with new furniture and bedding. Though the front doors open onto an outdoor balcony/sidewalk,... more

We decided to stay at this motel after reading the tripadvisor reviews and yes when you first go into the lobby you might wonder what you are doing, but it was a nice place. The room was very large, clean and modern. The casino is close by the rooms, but we did not notice any noise problems at night. The... more

My wife and I stayed at the Gold Country Motor Inn for 2 nights while visiting Elko. The Gold Country was a great experience. We had a small poodle with us and had reserved a "pet room" for our 2 night stay. The room was spotless, spacious and comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We would definetly stay... more

Stopped here with my family while traveling in April 2007. You are first struck by the small noisy casino as you enter the older building in search of hotel reception. The staff is friendly. Our family suite room was away from the main building, and was quiet and well furnished. There is a large lounge is connected to the casino... more

Stopped here on our way home from Grand Teton National Park. The non-smoking 2 queen room is large and very nice. I wish that I could be as positive about the restaurant. The marquee sign said that their restaurant was the #1 Steakhouse in Nevada. Says who? Even the hostess laughed when I mentioned the sign while I was making... more

On our last night of our drive from NYC to Santa Cruz CA, we were delighted with the Gold Country. We had read the reviews in TripAdvisor and trusted the reports. It was GREAT! Spacious non-smoking room, lovely staff, VERY dog friendly, nice pool. It was perfect after our trek. When we first got onto the strip in ELko, our... more

WE just returned from Casino Express vacation and stayed at the Gold Country Motor Inn. The room was very nice and the staff in the motel, casino and restaurant were all very friendly. We are planning another trip in February. The casino was small, but we enjoyed the trip very much. The only thing I didn't like was that it... more

Just returned from Elko. Stayed at Gold Country and found it to be more than we expected. The rooms are huge, some with refrigerators and microwaves. All have coffee pots. The rooms were just recently remodeled and were spotless. The casino is small but but nice and very cold. Everyone was friendly and eager to help. We will stay there... more
