The Commercial Hotel is an historical landmark building in Elko, NV. The first floor serves the general populace as a hangout for cheap drinks and small time gamblers, but for those interested in a different type of risk taking, the hotel could be a hair raising source of chills and thrills. The term "hotel" for this three story edifice is a misnomer. It hasn't served as a hotel in the money making sense in decades, and infact, half the building is literally condemned. The "story" is that the owners do not have the money to put into restoration. However, it is also known that it is very difficult to find building contractors who are willing to enter the second floor, and as for the third, forget it!
