This property is under new ownership, and the new owners do not have a clue on how to treat customers. Staying here was recommended by several friends who had nice stays and great food deals. Those food deals are a thing of the past and the employees do not seem amused to be employed there. Everywhere we turned, someone was... more

no airconditioning with a squeeky very noisey fan overhead.....Like a steambath....maybe ok in the winter. I don't know....Food is OK and cheap. Casino full of house shills. Better places to go on the lake. more

We have stayed at this property many times, often with our family. However, probably not again! Our reservation was not made as requested...had requested a ground floor room in the "cottages"....which is really just an old motel...but were booked into a 2nd floor room. The reservations supervisor was able to give us a ground floor room, but not in the... more

Last year we stayed at the Tahoe Biltmore for an overnight stay during the ski season and ran into an issue regarding our stay. After calmly complaining to the manager, she took care of it. I thought last year's experience was a fluke and decided to try them again. I booked their ski package, which included lift tickets to your... more

I stayed 2 nights mid-week in a "cottage" room (actually a dilapidated 4-plex as described earlier). Two positives: the staff were professional and competent and the neighbors through the paper-thin walls were quiet. Though quiet, I could still hear them tossing, turning and coughing in the night. The deal breaker was the heater (only two setting: full-force heat or off,... more

I stayed at the Biltmore for several days during the first week of January while my family and I skiied at Diamond Peak and Alpine Meadows. We had two rooms. The one, which I occupied on the fourth floor, was quite charming and had a lake view. The king sized bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was fine. Unfortunately, the... more

Our room was downgraded from two queen beds to two double beds and we were placed in a smoking room. The carpets were so dirty they were sticky and our bathroom was full of the hair of previous occupants! We paid about double their regular rate because the area was sold out during our planned weekend--but it wouldn't have been... more

We stayed in the cottages behind the main building as discribed in other reviews (see pics). The room was rustic, noisy and antiquated, with minimal furnishings. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. This is anything but a fancy stay, but a good value for someone just looking for a place to rest their head. I'd stay again... more

We were glad we booked here during school ski week at only $50/night. Rooms are plain, clean, and comfortable and we even had a view of Lake Tahoe and the Nevada peaks from our lodge room (upstairs in a building of 8 rooms). The complimentary breakfast special was quite good and the dinner specials worth a try too. VERY convenient... more

Room was a typical motel style room, clean but plain. Staff was very friendly and nice. Got a coupon for a free breakfast. Would stay here again if in the area to save money. more
