The Biltmore is a very old hotel, the floors feel uneven and they creak - but that's what makes it kind of fun. I swear when I got off the elevator I thought I was in the hotel from "The Shining" - so if that kind of era appeals to you, the Biltmore is for you. This isn't the Ritz... more

We live near the Lake, but needed a cheap place to stay when we wanted to see a show at the Crystal Bay Club and didn't want to drive after. It's very run down, but not dirty. You can't expect luxury for $50 near the lake, so it was fine for the night. You get what you pay for and... more

I was very excited when I came to tahoe from back east, and I was scared that i would not fit in.... As I called to make my reservations the clerk I spoke with gave me a choice of rooms to choose from, there are 3 areas to stay at the Tahoe Biltmore, Motel, Cottages and the Main Hotel.... I... more

Dealing with reservations both on the phone and in person had to be the worst "customer service" we've ever experienced. The first room we viewed had mysterious stains on the white comforter, the toilet would not stop running nor was the tank filling with water allowing it to flush, and the ironing board and room towels were left outside the... more

The Biltmore service was Excellent more so then the bigger hotel casino's. A special thanks to Donna and John and their staff. Durning a car show and busy weekend they put out over 100 percent to insure their customers where satisfied. Even though there was a couple hang up's with my stay, Donna was extremely helpful, taking care of business... more

Stayed for one night for a day trip to Tahoe. Our room in particular was not good: on the ground floor of the motel, right by some noisy buzzing facility room and very hot. The rooms on the other floors appeared to have more luck. The motel is not actually the casino, strictly speaking. more

The Biltmore was a real disappointment. While we don't consider ourselves fussy, we do expect some basics. In this case we found dirty airless rooms, sticky carpets, a surly staff and general disrepair. The temperature in July was fine--in the 70's--,but our un-air conditioned room was boiling. Perhaps the most shocking thing was to see other people leaving their doors... more

Stayed in the "Cottages" which are really just a bunch of extremely old motel type buildings in back of the main hotel and casino. If you're looking fo any type of view other than the parking lot, don't stay in these buildings. The building I was in (building F) was so old that it literally felt like it was going... more

This place was a let-down from the moment we pulled into the carport - we couldn't even get in! The main entrance consists of two sliding glass doors, which were broken and taped off. We walked to the other side of the building - that set of doors was broken and taped off too. After a few minutes of wandering... more
