This is a Nevada Casino hotel. Many guests stay up very, very late at such places. Every other casino hotel we've ever stayed in recognizes this and allow all sorts of options for late checkout. Many will let you stay until 1, or 2, or 3pm upon request. Many will offer to let you pay a bit more to stay... More

Thank you for your review. I am sorry you had a bad experience with our check-out procedure. I do understand that 11am can come fast when you've been up enjoying the casino. Typically we will allow for a later check-out at noon and I am sorry this wasn't offered to you. I will personally look into this situation at the... More

This Crystal Bay Lodge & Casino is a Tahoe Institution. We stopped to play and get coffee & tea at the very least. We did & we had a good time. There are quite a few penny machines and the payoff isn't bad. The restaurant has good food and the prices are very reasonable. We enjoyed our time here.

I was slightly concerned after reading some reviews about the "cottages", which aren't cottages at all, but 6 unit 2 story buildings. The room was clean, a bit shabby, quite large with a walk in closet big enough to set up the roll away bed that was stored in it! The pool and spa were very clean and never saw... More

Check in clerk on break at 3:00 pm despite this being check in time. Security guard telling people to wait for her return. When she returned she made me go downstairs to the players club to get my free stay offer. This took about 15 minutes. When I returned there was a long line. We stayed on the 3rd floor... More

This is not THE Biltmore Hotel I expected it to be. This hotel / lodge is crying to its owners for a makeover. Much of the needs are cosmetic, but obviously ignored for years. It needs a major cleaning, new carpets, furniture and a brighter coat of paint. I missed not having a coffee maker in the room, but I... More

We have been visiting this resort for 14 years now and decided to allow some of the family to share in our secret hideaway. They said the would definitely be back. Staff there is the best! Kristi, the Marketing Manager, goes out of her way to make sure your stay is just as you request. Not only does she arrange... More

Great price for a group cycling weekend at Tahoe. Not a destination resort, but it's clean, functional, with great heaters in each room and down blankets, which is much nicer than expected for the off-season price. Rare $5 tables in the attached casino (another good value).

Over 100 dollars got us a closet and a garbage view of the parking lot, we asked for a lakeside room. A couple girls who could barely speak English booked us in after we repeated ourselves 10 times, since it's difficult to understand our American accent. The hotel is cruddy, to be generous, the bathrooms have soap dispensers, we found... More

Very rustic old school casino in North Lake Tahoe. Smoky, no valet or bellhop. Feels old and looks old. Paper thin walls in room, squeaky floors, radiator heaters and cheap TV. Smoky casino, good bar deals so-so restaurants, definitely not gourmet. Staff cordial. No Wi-Fi. Price was right. If your an non-smoker you will hate it. Good for the younger... More

We opted for character over a higher end chain hotel and are glad we did. We were in town for our 2nd house hunting trip and spent 3 nights at the hotel. Arriving on a weeknight - it was very quiet, very few people in the Casino and not many hotel guests. Our room was basic but clean and comfortable.... More
