The hotel uses FALSE advertising and marketing gimmicks on its website. They use pictures of the few decent rooms they have for the terrible rooms. Management is unresponsive (or not even on duty on a Saturday night!) to any of your concerns or requests. This is not a 4 star hotel but the views of the lake and mountains more than make up for it. The decor is dated but the numerous windows make you forget about it. It also has a interesting history of Sinatra and the Rat pack owning the place. The spa is a really nice treat and not terribly expensive.... more

I booked a room at the Cal-Nev for a friend's wedding at the Hyatt in Incline Village, NV. I wanted to save a little money becuase the rooms at the Hyatt are $300+.
