For such an out of the way place, Beatty, the Exchange Club Motel was very clean and front desk staff friendly and helpful. 9 years ago we stayed in the old Burro Inn which was dire, so it was with some trepidation to stay at Beatty again. The motel's only small failing was that there was not a breakfast provided.

This hotel is the right choice for Beatty. It is clean; has good eating places just across the street; the gas station right next door and a local market also within walking distance. The rooms are spacious and clean and of course have the all important flat scree t.v. The young women that checked us in named Denise was very... More

The Exchange club was an OK hotel, but not much more then basic. Room size large, so large there were some big empty areas in it. Dated furnishings, but in ok condition. Clean room and decent wifi and a coffeemaker, these are good things. Quibbles: Two pillows total, and they were flat. No power plug ins for anything anywhere near... More

It's a great place to stay when visiting Beatty and/or Death Valley. It's inexpensive & clean. Some things are dated but again it's clean. The rooms have a flat screen TV, fridge & a single cup coffee maker. I have stayed here several times over the past few years & have never experienced any problems. I love staying here because... I was impressed by the spacious room and modern new carpeting in my room. There was a large screen TV along with a fridge. I was expected a lumpy mattress but that was one of the best things about the hotel. There was very little road traffic evident from my upstairs room I was very pleased with my overall experience... We stayed in the king suite which was not worth the price. I think I would have been happier paying the queen price a d sleeping in a queen bed. They do have frogs but only one microwave in check-in area. Staff has limited personality, frig in room was dirty with hair . Ugh!!!! Spacious room and half way updated... More

This is a decent roadside motel just to stop for the night. The rooms are spacious and I felt more or less safe in the area. Has ample parking but since the motel is quite big, it gets busy quick. Its a good location though as there are 3 bars/restaurants just across the road. Nothing to write home about, but... More

A little off main road, no smoking, an old hotel so it creeks and groans. Costs a lot less than staying in Death Valley, and has more options for food. Actually needed to change a tire here late at night and the garage opened up for us just around the corner. That was a unique experience. I stayed here because... More

This is a good, simple and inexpensive place. Our room had a fridge, which was useful. We spent two nights here and were happy with our stay. This is a good option for a place to crash near Death Valley.

As many other reviewers have said, the rooms are far superior to the exterior aspect. Reception is friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The only downside is noise; the exterior noise via the A/C unit is loud and I agree with other reviewers that there is a general paucity of sound-proofing. That said it is very good... More
