My friend and I recently had a nightmare stay at another Inn in Beatty. The next day we checked into the Death Valley Inn. Here's why we did and why we were so impressed: • they have a real hotel front desk that's manned 24/7. • the property appears to have been renovated not long ago. Very pleasant outer decor.... Seriously, this place is the pits. The walls must be made of tissue paper. I could hear every single noise from our neighbors and from the street. The bed was like sleeping on a boulder. The room smelled and was dirty. This was so bad. The Death Valley Inn had not one redeeming quality. AVOID!

This an older Route 66 style hotel that is well maintained. Fast and free WIFI was very nice. Face it this is really the middle of nowhere, so don't expect the Ritz. It's just a comfortable place to spend a night when visiting Death Valley. Fridge and microwave were nice touches. Mel's diner across the street had a great breakfast.

This is a good place, but average. Booked through Trip Advisor. Our room was clean, towels good. Parking for RV's is available. They have first and second floor, stairs only. We stayed here when it was 35 degrees outside and the heater worked good.

The place was fine as you would expect for this kind of establishment. The staff was courteous and cut 10 bucks off the bill in response to my complaint about the strong scent and noisy refrigerator. Cool location, the breakfast at Mel's diner was pretty good, though the coffee was terrible. I would recommend the coffee at the gas station... More

The exterior of the hotel looks decent enough which is why we decided to give it a try. Too bad our experience here wasn't very good. The front desk staff was very stale and unfriendly. Our room was dated and the furniture dirty. The bed pillows were pathetic and we had very low water pressure in the shower. I really... More

Clean and friendly staff, outdoor pool and hot jacuzzi, good views, basic but clean accommodation, 10 mins from Rhyolite ghost town, 30mins from Mesquite sand dunes, cold at night and early morning, had dinner at local saloon and breakfast at Denny's. Does a good job as a motel for overnight stay, comfortable.

This hotel is fine for the traveller, especially so given competitive room rates. The rooms are quite large and there is free Wi-Fi throughout. The hotel generally is clean & tidy and there is a nice pool to relax in. Not a lot in Beatty but that's not the hotels fault. We only stopped for the one night, but I... More

Rooms were ok, there was a small pool, no breakfast. The hotel was well mantained and for the price I think it is a good deal should you want to stay near Death Valley. About 10 minutes driving from Beatty is also a small ghost town called Rhyolite worth having a look. But beware that Beatty is a small town... More

We booked here last minute after discovering our RV wouldn't let us drive into Death Valley in August. We drove here from Yosemite, which was a long drive. We were all hot and bothered by the time we arrived and this hotel was a blessing simply because it had a swimming pool. The check in procedure was quick and easy... More
