We stayed at Dalqueich Farmhouse our first night in Scotland. Tired from the trans US and trans Atlantic flights we were greeted with friendship by our hosts. We went to bed early and were off on our journey. Upon arrival the second time we were able to enjoy the company of our hosts and really got the feel for it.... More

We received a very friendly warm welcome and we were offered refreshments after our long journey. Our room was beautiful, clean and traditional. The bed was really comfortable with lovely fresh linen. We had a private adjacent shower room also very clean. Our bedroom had fresh fruit and snacks, tea and coffee facilities - everything you could hope for to... More

So glad that you enjoyed your stay and the golf- we were busy all weekend, extending into Monday as the Golf Open was delayed by the weather. The weather remained cool so we are still lighting fires to keep the dining room looking cosy in the early morning. Hope to see you again soon and thanks for the kind review. More

We stayed here while on a short break for my girlfriends birthday, and i have to say, what an experience. There are definitely more expensive places that could learn alot from Dalqueich Farmhouse. The place itself is lovely, secluded, comfy, homely and welcoming. Our room was the same, the bed was very comfortable and the room was very pleasant. Where... More

While visiting dear friends in Kinross, they put us up in this lovely "farmhouse". The gardens are amazing, and our charming room was filled with fanciful illustrations by M. Smythe and others. A fire had been set for breakfast, and the room glowed with candlelight and more careful touches. Helen and Bob provided an array of fresh and prepared fruits,... More

Your review is so encouraging, we are happy that you had an enjoyable time in Scotland, and for us a chance to share common interests in art, gardens and food. We're sure that you would enjoy the Pittenweem Arts Festival held in early August (they have a website) - Margaret Smyth exhibits in her house; a family affair as they... More

Enjoyed the homely feel to this place. Welcoming hosts with interesting conversation. The room was comfortable (not as big as some but big enough). We prefer a firmer bed but it was fine for a couple of nights. Excellent breakfast with home-made bread, jam etc. Wake up to sound of chickens clucking, bees buzzing etc. Try the Kirklands hotel in... More

Thank you for your review , it is kind of you to take the time and they are helpful. We note your comments about the bed, which has an orthopaedic mattress and other guests have said how comfortable it has been. We were happy that you enjoyed the peace and quiet, were able to make use of the large guest... More

We spent 10 nights in the farmhouse. Helen and bob are a fantastic couple. They made us feel at home. The breakfast was awesome and bob is a very good bread maker we really loved the bread:)) we felt like living in a fairy tale, it's a very cosy and comfortable farmhouse with excellent views and very central to other... Another memorable stay at Dalqueich Farmhouse. It's a magical place and our room is a continual source of pleasure and amazement. It's so prettily arranged with every thought to our comfort attended to. The duvet is duck down, as are the pillows- light and warm with a pretty Laura Ashley quilt. So "cottagey!" Little lamps everywhere, tray with assorted teas,... More

During a two week vacation which involved driving around much of Scotland, we stayed at many B&Bs and guest houses. Dalqueich Farmhouse was undoubtedly the highlight of all of the places we stayed. Helen and Bob (and you can't forget Bertie!) were such kind, friendly, and hospitable hosts that we felt like we were staying a few days with family... More

Returning to Dalqueich farmhouse and being welcomed by Helen, Bob and their wonderful dog Bertie reminded my wife and me of the previous times we stayed. My ten year old loves it there too. The level of hospitality and kindness are in abundance and I have yet to find somewhere on par or even come close to the pleasant and... More

Stayed here for 10 days whilst my husband was a volunteer at the Ryder Cup. Welcomed and received the highest possible service. Delicious early morning breakfasts, provided with everything you could possibly want whilst staying away from home. We are so glad that you enjoyed your Ryder Cup stay- certainly not the usual breakfast times for us all, but great fun! We were also pleased that you stayed on and saw some of the local attractions as well as visiting Edinburgh. Hoping to see you both again. More
