After asking about the way that they price their facilities four different times, we were charged for the camping hookup and per person per night. While booking our spots on the phone we were led to believe there was no per person charge, let alone the extra per person per night fee. On top of those unmarked fees, the store... More

Just finished spending the weekend here. The campground was clean, and very quite. Tubing was great, met out front took a bus ride to Berry's Bridge. They had all eight of our tubes strapped together, jumped on and floated all day back to Stan's Landing. The weather was great! Spent the night watching all the stars. One more toilet at... More

Tried to reserve camping spot and tubing. They didn't call us back on a timely manner. They were too busy. Made multiple phone calls trying to confirm camping and tubes. Was told we had tubes even though they were not able to take our card for a reservation. When I final did get a hold of them they didn't keep... More

Proprietors were helpful when we had some problems with our RV. Spent over two hours helping us out and let us borrow tools. The showers were clean and the store is conveneint for amy items u mint have forgotten.... And plenty of beer and ice. This is one of the best locations to camp no doubt! We will definitely stay... We have had a very positive and consistent experience camping on the gorgeous Niobrara at Fritzs Campground. Peggy has always been friendly and accomodating to all 12 of us that go annually. We really appreciate being cared for with the tubes and transportation and can always rely on things running smoothly. The hot showers are a god send. :) Thanks... More

A group of 8 of us stayed there in July 2011. This owner does not care about customer service one bit and he told us that to our face. Sad too because it's a great area. So if you want to be treated like crap stay here.

I was very upset this last stay at the campground. This was the perfect place for my friends and I to swim. I am 13. Canoeing the niobrara has been a tradition in my family long before I was born. They always tell stories about how they would never see another person on the river the while time they were... More

We just stayed at Fritz's Island last weekend and were so disappointed. For starters, within minutes of arriving we were very rudely scolded by the lady who runs the place for moving a firepit. Since she knew we had just arrived and had not yet seen a copy of the rules (they're not posted on the website nor are there... More

We have been canoeing the niobrara for about 15 yrs. and the last eight years at Stan's Landing. We all enjoyed the camping and facilities along with the swimming, but the last 2 yrs. have been miserable the staff is rude and Stan is the biggest jerk ever. I wouldn't recommend this campground to anybody. Every year there are more... More

We have been going on Tubing trips for the last 8 plus years and have always chosen Fritz Island / Stan’s Landing as our camp ground and now outfitter. Every year we come back with stories of how the staff has not met our expectations and each year has gotten worse and worse, from rudeness, to screwing up our reservations,... More
