I saw the ratings for The Husker Inn so decided to give it a try. Was there June 19, 2014 on my trip from Montreal, Canada to La Paz, BCS, Mexico. Out of all the places we stayed in this was one if not my favorite. When I went to check in Linda the owner was so helpful. She recommended... More

What a cool little motel off the beaten path! Had stayed here in the 70s and past it many times since thinking, "I bet it is really run down"! Guess again! Might have been one of the cleanest and friendliest Motels I have ever stayed in, Gave me food when I checked in, gave me food when I checked out.... More

Really enjoyed our one night stay in this "back in time" hospitable motel. My wife and I were greeted with a friendly face, and enjoyed a delicious smoothie before checking into our cozy room. The furnishings were 1st class and the bed soft and comfortable. We visited the Train Museum (free/donation) and ate a good steak at the Depot; both... More

We found The Husker Inn via the Roadtrippers app while driving from Oregon to Vermont. I looked up the inn on Tripadvisor and saw all of the positive comments. The grounds were well-maintained and inviting, the room was clean and comfortable, and the owners very friendly. I urge other travelers to stay at this inn if you are traveling through... More

I read the reviews and could not believe the excellent service and price. It is all so true! When we arrived she made us a drink with fresh strawberries, pineapple, and natural honey blended. It was superb. She also had huge muffins that she gave to us. The room was very comfortable and well maintained. The outside is landscaped beautifully.... More

The Husker Inn is a great place to stay as you travel on I-80 through Nebraska. It is downtown about 1 1/2 miles off the highway, but well worth the little drive through town in terms of value and hospitality. The Innkeeper couldn't have been nicer and more gracious - she shared a 4th of July plate of pasta and... More

Great place, and very high value--I paid $38 for one night. Room was clean, quiet, and the desk clerk (Linda, I believe) was very thoughtful--she asked me how long my day had been (14 hours) and came back with a small plate of fresh pineapple for a snack. This kind of place deserves support. It's a gem.

We enjoyed our stay at the Husker Inn. The owners greeted us so warmly. Linda gave us a bowl of fresh cut strawberries when we arrived. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Our accommodation was very reasonably priced especially since we stayed here just before the 4th of July weekend. We highly recommend this inn.

This is the best inexpensive accommodation we have found in our travels throughout the world. Super clean. Very comfortable. Pleasant staff. Not sure why it appears in the section of specialty lodging. It is a one-story motel, but people would be better served if it were under the hotel section so that they would be more likely to come across... More
