This hotel is not new. It is well maintained and clean. Indoor pool, full breakfast. Looks like an old Holiday Inn. Checking in was like checking in at your grand ma's house. They are very happy you are there. I would recommend it for someone who wanted a nice clean place to stay, affordable and happy to have your business.

I don't like to focus on the negative, but believe there are things people should know. The pool is in the middle of the hotel and the rooms surround it, so if you don't mind children and adults playing in the pool until 10:00, you will be ok. Our room was right next to the kitchen so we had early... More

I had to stay for two weeks when I relocated. I was put in the back with all the construction workers in an annex. They put me in a smoking room (horrible and smelly) There were non stop parties which I had to call in and it would still take them awhile to break them up. Loud music and the... More

The room was in the area with the pool. Room had a foul smell, and I was told at the front desk that they could not give me another room because they were full. Made a trip to walmart to buy Clorox wipes, shower shoes, etc.... I will not stay here again. I like a nice clean room, I did... More

We stopped here for one night and got a room at the last minute. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast had a large selection, but was not the best tasting food. I'll give them credit for trying though. We were given a "handicap" room right next to the pool table, but luckily the people playing... More

I have to admit the recent reviews had me wondering. But, then, I got there. Room 221 (balcony, overlooking indoor pool and party are around pool) was basic as to decor and electronics, but clean and crisp. I was fine walking the carpet w/o socks!!! I saw no signs of mildew in the bathroom. I saw no scratches in the... More

This July we stayed at The Chief, not quite the same as before. Evidently the motel has been sold to another party. The restaurant next door is gone, as is the good food served there. We were given a room on the pool side, have been there before and enjoyed it, but not this year. The pool table was just... More

This place was a good choice to crash for the night. We were on are trip to Yosemite, California and we made it this far. The first room we checked into the A/C was blaring loud. You could hear it outside! We asked for another room with no problems. 2 queen beds TV, coffee maker, desk w/chair, bathroom with hair... More

My family and I stayed here for a wedding in McCook. The room was ok...alittle dated, but had everything we needed. The rooms all were close to the pool and breakfast area which made feeding and entertaining the kids easier and more comfortable for us. One very big problem we had was in the morning there was never enough hot... More

Very clean room with all the amenities. Flat screen TV and fast wi-fi. Really nice indoor pool and atrium. A hot breakfast (and fruit) much above the average faire. I made reservations and the check-in was very fast and friendly. The only possible problem that I had was my view out the window. I stayed in Room 201 and all... More
