As a frequent, nay nearly exclusive, Marriott guest I always look forward to experiencing new properties, especially ones that Marriott considers to be "the premier choice" for a particular city. The Cornhusker is, indeed, a very nice property and, considering the age of the building, Marriott has done a wonderful job of keeping it up-to-date and modern. The lobby is... more

The Cornhusker USED to be the nicest hotel in Lincoln, but I don't think that's the case now. The front desk staff was not very friendly. The bathroom was small and you could hear your neighbors. There was no fridge or microwave in the room. They are only a couple blocks from downtown which wasn't a bad walk. The beds... more

I traveled and stayed here for a funeral and had to pay constantly to get in and out of the parking garage that was connected to the hotel which they don't own and don't have there own parking. When I came back from a funeral the parking garage was full and you have to drive around downtown looking for another... more

The Good: The rooms are pretty nice and you have a good view of downtown if you stay on a higher floor. The lobby is immaculate and the staff is very friendly. I wish I would have brought my swimming suit because the pool looks awesome. Room service is prompt and the prices are fairly reasonable. The beds are awesome... more

I have traveled all over the world and I have to say this was the cleanest hotel I've ever been to. Beds were very comfortable and staff was very nice and helpful. If I ever find myself in Lincoln, Nebraska again I wouldn't think twice about booking this hotel again. more

We are travelling across the US headed west and got the Cornhusker via priceline. Very easy downtown location. Close to local restaurants, withing 10 minute easy walk. A little further away from most attractions than other hotels, but that helped keep it quiet at night. Could not park in the covered parking as we have a van with a topper,... more

Stayed on "kids eat free" discount through Entertainment Book and thought it would only cover breakfast but the children received every meal free. The restaurant was excellent and the service was great throughout. The only issue was the parking garage was not easily accessible from the hotel for you had to walk through the convention center. Would recommend to anyone... more

We recently stayed 3 nights at the Cornhusker while visiting the U of Nebraska with our daughter. The rooms are nicely renovated, quiet and comfortable. Wireless internet is a plus. The service was great, staff was friendly. Downtown Lincoln is very quiet on summer weekends so street parking was widely available and free on Sunday. Otherwise you can use the... more

We used Priceline successfully to book two nights at the Cornhusker. My wife, an NU alum and almost Lincoln native, looked forward to this stay and seeing once again her favorite Lincoln places. Well! This Cornhusker wasn't The Cornhusker of yore (thank goodness, in my opinion). It's a well-managed and well-cared-for replacement for the Cornhusker imploded some years back. We... more

Two one night stays about 10 days apart in Feb. 2009. I found the hotel comfortable and exactly what I'd expect from a Marriott, particularly at this price-point. I've stayed at better (Golden, CO comes to mind) and somewhat lesser (Omaha West) Marriotts. This was a fine mid-point hotel. My two dislikes were: the no in-out parking, and very poor... more
