This is a somewhat glorified motel which I tried really hard to enjoy but the odds were stacked against me. For one, the walls in the main building are paper thin, you will hear every single thing your neighbors do or say (and they, you) - in my case virtually sleeping in the same bed with a guest with severe... Dear Guest Thank you for your review. I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay, There is always a set thickness between rooms which is comparable to larger than a traditional house to alleviate noise travelling from room to room. Unfortunately we can not be responsible for additional noise from a guest with a cold or even a louder... More

Traveling around the Uk with my husband we arrived at the Judd Folly and checked in. We was taken to our room and we was very surprised how beautiful and spacious our room was! A little quirky but very nice! We had a walk around the hotels grounds and noticed the older part to the building (my father was a... More

We got to this hotel, by a friend's tip. Our fresh, light and spacious room was on the first room and featured a modern, clean bathroom. Breakfast, included, allowed a choice of full English, ham and cheese platter or smoked salmon omelette and a buffet with all you need (muesli, cereals, toast and coffee/tea). We had dinner the night before,... More

I had the standard room, it was a compact room but clean and tidy with a comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and the food good. It was a good value stay for bed and breakfast. The location is very pretty with great views from the bars decking area.

Lovely setting. Ideal if you have a dog with you, lots of greenery and very pet friendly. Able to park outside the room on ground floor- a real bonus for the late night walk. A good choice of food in the evening on site and pleasant breakfast. Clean and airy room. All round, would definitely recommend!

Having read the reviews, I admit I booked a two night stay with some trepidation over the Bank Holiday. However, I would say that earlier reviews are fairly accurate in that we too found the hotel staff very friendly/helpful, as was the owner. The food was excellent and can recommend eating in the restaurant. The kitchen/chef coped well when the... More

We stayed at Judds Folly Hotel as my son was getting married there. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. Every member of staff we had dealings with was helpful in the extreme without being overbearing. We had a Deluxe room which was very comfortable and equipped with everything we needed during our stay. We... More

We stayed one night at Judds Folly. Having booked online we were subsequently contacted by the owner saying that there was a group booking and we would not have access to the bar or restaurant. This didn't bother us at all but is something to be borne in mind as the hotel is a popular event venue and the restricted... More

Fantastic meal followed by great Buffet and generally great all round ambience of a lovely Hotel, set in its own grounds. It was great to be able to have the wedding within the area of the hotel grounds, especially that you could go indoors if the wind was too high. Lovely surroundings. A great big thank you to all the... More

I've got the feeling that your experience depends on the room you're allocated. Ours was lovely (we paid £10 for an upgrade with bigger bed) furnishings good quality and gorgeous bathroom (other reviews had led me to expect little of the bathroom so I hadn't brought all my favourite bubblies). We were in the house itself - don't know what... More
