Lucky find with this hotel. Had a standard room that was perfectly adequate. Breakfast was one of the best. Staff excellent. Restaurant excellent with great food. Hotel cosy and warm. Would go back again. Could do with more hard standing parking.

Stayed here for two night break. In good location but overall experience was disappointing. We had an outside room which was very compact and the bathroom was poor. There was no heating at all in the bathroom, the radiator did not work and neither did the fan to remove the steam from the shower, and we had to leave the... More

Dear Guest Thank you for your review. I apologise that you had issues with your bathroom during your stay. The bedroom has a 6ft bed in so may be a little compact. Overall I am pleased that we have been able to disguise the fact that we are refurbishing the outer rooms as this has been on going. We do... More

We were at a party of over 70 on 16.01.16 - we had a carvery 3 course meal and disco. Some of my fellow colleagues stayed overnight, I didn't as I am from the local area. When I spoke with colleagues the following week they had only good things to say about the evening, the rooms they stayed in and... More

Save money by recreating the Judd's Folly experience at home by simply parking your car in a muddy field, cooking yourself an average meal and sending yourself to bed just as you're starting to enjoy the night. For even more authenticity you could also try not hoovering for a few weeks.

Dear guest. Thank you for your review. I have tried to make contact with and again no response, it's such a shame that when some one criticises your business, first of all you don't know who they are and secondly they are too rude not to respond to requests to speak to. We have three acres of grounds and 2... More

Jason, Chris and the rest of the staff worked their socks off to make everyone relax, over and above the call of duty. The rooms were clean and fresh, there was wine and chocolates plus necessary toiletries in the room. New Year's Eve dinner was very good, the waiting staff were efficient and attentive. A very enjoyable visit.

From the minute we stepped through the doors on Christmas Eve we felt relaxed and warmly welcomed by Jason and his friendly staff. Our Christmas celebrations started with afternoon tea in the Autumn restaurant. Lots of choice of sandwiches, cakes and scones with clotted cream. This was followed by a candlelit evening meal, of our choice, which was delicious. Christmas... More

Sam and I spent a New Year's Eve break there and have just returned. We were welcomed warmly at reception and given very clear instructions about the proceedings for the New Year ahead. Wonderfully family atmosphere and engaging staff who were superb-they literally worked their socks off- Jason was superb as were all staff and although we skipped the disco-... More
