This was our 3rd visit to the hotel, our first and second being in January and April of this year. Each stay we had a different room, all the rooms were fantastic, all decorated to a high standard with lovely modern bathrooms. The staff have always been friendly, helpful and very attentive at the right times. All 3 visits we... More

I've eaten some pies in my time but I've got to admit the steak and ale pie here at the Bears Paw is without doubt the best ever. It comes with home made chips, peas and the nicest gravy. This is my second visit and both times I've been very impressed with the place so much so that I'm going... More

Delightful and smart hotel/restaurant in a small rural Cheshire village. Lovely staff and rooms and a very good restaurant. And the wifi works with no problems! We also had the hot water surge problem in the shower which the hotel needs to address, but otherwise it suited us perfectly and we look forward to returning there.

Fabulous establishment, lovely staff. Mouthwatering food. Lovely , clean, modern, comfortable rooms. Booked as we left for our anniversary this time next year ! IF I had to pick one fault the restaurant dominates the place a little too much , could do with more relaxation areas for hotel guests

Just stayed here for 2 nights from Friday in executive room. Very welcoming on arrival, room very spacious, clean and inviting. Bed and pillows extremely comfortable and linens of good quality. Shower at your own risk, we found that the hot water is good and plentiful but did not appreciate the scolding hot bursts that the shower liked to emit... More

We have been a few times as an escape as it's cosy, clean, good food and gorgeous rooms. We tried an executive room this time which at £125 was great value - huge bath, shower, couch and big room. All rooms really well decorated and comfortable - mattress good and thick curtains keep the light out on summer mornings. We... More

Found this little gem of a hotel purely by accident. Extremely comfortable and the finish of the rooms is exceptional. We stayed in room 9 which is well worth the climb up the stairs. Planning a much longer stay next time.

The food was excellent, and so was the service. The room was also very nice, only problem was the room was right by the church and we were kept awake by the quarter-hourly chimes of the church clock, so were absolutely exhausted the day after. Given the price we paid for the room, I expected a good night's sleep

I have never stayed here but frequent the pub for a meal when I can. The staff are friendly the food is first class and atmosphere is great. What else do you need? It borders on Pub/Fine Dining. I say that as a positive thing. It's a pub because it's not pretentious so you can dress comfortably and yet the... More

Four of us dined here Saturday, 23rd August and the first time for all of us. We arrived and was greeted by a very nice lady working behind the bar, sorted our drinks out and showed us to a lovely table. After perusing the menu and there is a good choice throughout our order was taken. My husband and I... More
