Our trip to Iceland would not have been complete without a nights stay at Fljotstunga Farm. The farm is very remote, peaceful and the surrounding landscape is breathtakingly beautiful. The owner and the people working on the farm are incredibly welcoming. The cottage itself was very clean and cozy. My husband and I really enjoyed the lava field hike, walking... More

Although I just spent one night in the cottage it was beautiful because the cottage was very cozy and quiet. The cottage was very clean as well and provided with a nice kitchen corner. The big windows allowed a great view through the whole valley. Do not miss the cave tour!

As I am planning a return trip to Iceland in June this year, I thought I would share the 3 night stay in the small hut (Hlid) at Fljotstunga in June 2013. The accomodation is faiirly basic and Fljotstunga quite remote, but what makes it great is that it is basic and in the middle of nowhere - you are... More

So glad I`ve chosen Fljotstunga Travelers farm for my first visit and the first nights ever in iceland! The athmosphere you`re surrounded by when staying at Fljotstunga is just amazing! This is one of iceland`s purest destinations...all types of landscapes of lava, mountains, valleys, glaciers, rivers etc. are directly near by...plants, animals and most of all the hosts make you... We stayed in the Hraun cabin for 4 days at the very beginning of the trip and I have to stay, it was absolutely perfect. Our cabin was warm and very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed as two travelling couples. Also, the views! Breathtaking. We were met by the owner who gave us tips about what to... More

We spent one night in a tent in July 2012 and the scenery was marvellous. The area is very spacious and a lot to see including a big lava cave. There is also a nice dining hall with a lot of chairs and tables. The campground had a water toilet which was nice.

This year i visited Iceland for my 3rd time. The best thing about travelling through the rural areas is the nature, Fljotstunga is now another reason to come back to Iceland. Sceneries and sights around the farm are stunning and so pure. The hospitality at the farm is very original and friendly. "Takk" and I will see you next time.... More

Went camping on July the 21st. Camping place is quite large and nice. The camping place contains a grill large enough to cook for, I don't know, a large group of people. Good WC and running water. Everything a camper needs. Surroundings are great with possibilities of some nice hikes. Had the possibility to relax and read a book at... More

We stayed at the campsite at Fljótstunga for the weekend. When we arrived there were horses on the campsite, along with their poo so we had to find a place on the campsite that wasn't covered with it. The WC was a small cabin that has been the horses chewing toy / WC for a long time, so that wasn't... More

Dear customer, Thank you for taking the time to write your comments. We are terribly sorry that the new born ponies went out of the fenced area during your time at the farm, they are still getting used to it. As the farm is big, we do ask our guests to check-in at the reception on arrival, mostly to inform... More

The location of the farm at the end of the valley and in the midst of the lava fields and mid way up the hillside allows the prefect and tranquil views. It is close to various hiking trails and you easily reach the glacier nearby if you wish to hike there. The cabin had a frig and stove which allows... More
