As a backpacker, I have been in many hostels. I can honestly say this is one of the very best. The owner Claude and his dog Big Ben gave me a warm welcome and gave me a tour of the hostel. The historic building was completely renovated to allow for the creation of this comfortable home away from home. The... More

Stayed at the Auberge on our way to Nova Scotia to break up our 14 hour drive. We arrived very late and Michael was there to greet us at the door. We loved the family room. The kids loved the bunkbeds! Wonderful hospitality, clean and comfy rooms. They even had a personalized sign welcoming us to breakfast the next day!... More

We booked this hostel through Booking.com. All my kids(9 and 14 years old) and 2 years old baby like this comfortable inn, so we booked again for the way back. Due to the traffic, we arrived at 11:00PM which was way later than the latest check-in time, however we got a warm welcome from Mr. Claude. The rooms are very... More

Even though we had a short stay of only two nights with our kids (3 and 8 years old), we won't forget the warm welcome our host Claude gave us! Not to forget about his greateful help and hints... The location is perfect to start a journey especially by boat to the Natural Park of Temiscouata. The place is very... More

The bunk beds were new and comfortable, and for me first time the beds didnt make any noise when i moved (i have... More

I had to drive from Toronto to Cabano with my mom -- it took us 14 hours and we arrived at the Auberge around midnight. Claude waited for us, and came to take us to our rooms that night, and provided all we needed. We had booked the private room, which was just a double bed with a bathroom attached... More

Clean and basic. Rooms can sleep up to about 6 people in bunk beds. One room for $69+tax has a private bathroom although it is outside the room. The other rooms for $59+tax use a shared bathroom. Owner is friendly and helpful. A basic breakfast is included but we missed it since we wanted to leave before the 8AM breakfast... More

What a great find in such a beautiful setting! I stayed in the family room with my two adult sons 21 and 22 years. They fought over who would sleep on the top bunk. The eldest won. Claude and Big Ben have created a comfortable and extremely clean guest house for travellers. Claude is kind and friendly with a great... More

I stayed with Auberge Internationale Temiscouate the last couple of days and I absolutely loved the experience. It's clean, quite and I had lots of fun. Claude is super nice and funny. Big Ben is a great, calm and polite dog. You can view the sunrise from the second floor deck above river Temiscouate. and the beautiful colour of the... More
