The ranch is another great place to stay off the beaten track. Here you can do anything from practicing your roping to getting a relaxing massage. We choose to just take a trail ride. They accommodate beginners to advanced riders. My favorite part of this ride was the dogs! They followed us on the whole trip. As soon as we... More

My husband and I spent two nights in one of the Gaynor cabins. We chose this location for the lure of peaceful R&R and it fit the bill beautifully. Nice setting in the woods. Deer and wild turkey visiting in the morning and evening added to the charm of the place. Close to many hiking trails. The cabin itself was... More

We came in for a family reunion. The cabins are OK. The manager was wonderful and very hospitable- I would give her a 10! Here's the thing. I forgot some electronics, and admit it was totally my fault- it happens right? The nice manager immediately found them and brought them to the main office where the ?owners? reside, at the... More

This is tucked back up in the woods a ways. The drive is beautiful, the surroundings are awesome. We went in May and it was quiet and lovely. The cabins are fully furnished and stocked. What a great price for everything that is there. There is laundry, cooking pots and utencils, coffee pot, etc.. You could easily get 8-10 people... More

We were traveling with 4 families (including infants!), and these cabins were perfect for fitting us all in. We were spending the day at Glacier and called to check in, and were told we would have cabins 4 & 5 (which aren't next to each other, even though we requested that, but we didn't know that at the time.) While... More

What a huge disappointment! After searching for several weeks for a place to stay on our first trip to Montana and Glacier, we decided on Gaynor Ranch and Resort. It's not a resort at all in the way the website pictures depict it to be. Perhaps if you are there with a group they may pay some attention to you,... More

First of all, this place is not cheap and I was very disappointed. The whole place looked good until we started exploring the ranch. The camp fire area is full of doggy gifts. The rope jumping lake looked stale with one unstable tree. The worst was a badly drained bathtub. I called the manager to take care of it, he... More

I booked this trip to stay at CABINS IN THE WOODS rather last minute and really should have paid better attention to the reviews. Things you really need to know before staying here: 1. CABINS 3/4 ARE A DUPLEX AND NOT THEIR OWN CABIN This would be ok if traveling with a larger group and could rent both cabins and... More

First I want to say I apologize, but just HAVE to write about our experience. We stayed here about a week ago now, we were a family gathered together, to spread the ashes of a lost loved one, in her most favorite place in the world and where she grew up, Montana. We stayed in 2 of the main cabins.... More

First of all we did have bees on the trail for a few days. We cannot control that. They are gone now and the rides are much more peaceful. And yes, our wrangler got bit and was very uncomfortable. As for the lady who kept screaming WO, it is not acceptable and causes the horses to be unsettled. I highly... More

Stayed here this past week it's in a beautiful area and the cabins are perfect for a family. We missed out on something's because it rained most of the time but the location is perfect for glacier, whitefish and kalispel. You can cook in or have a nice dinner in town easily. We had a great time ! Owners are... More
