Average hotel three star at best; The rooms are clean but the board like matresses could use an upgrage. Not the ice machine and coke machine are quite near to rooms 307 and 407. Good if your a cokaholic; bad if you do not like a hight level of white noise. Interesting inconsistency for check out. I booked 10 families... more

We have just returned from a train trip from Minot, ND to Whitefish, MT. There was a group of 23 relatives and friends and we chose the Pine Lodge to be our base camp. They met us at the train as promised. Butch was our driver and he got us to the motel in short order. Some of us rented... more

We stayed here for 4 nights in a standard double queen room. No fridge or microwave, that was 25 dollars more for a suite. We had a mini balcony (our neighbor's was twice the size) that would fit two people snuggly overlooking a small "river". The furnishings were old, but in good shape, the beds were hard, and the pillows... more

The rooms were clean, a good size and the staff friendly. My only complaint was the beds - hard as a cement. I prefer a firm mattress but this one did me in. We asked for a softer bed or a foam topper but what we got is all they had. It is too bad the one reason you stay... more

Needed a place to stay before our adventure to Glaicer Nat Park. Nice helpful staff, clean rooms and a great breakfast room. Went to the old part of town for dinner. It was also a Tues evening and we were able to walk around the excellent farmers market that was open till 7:00. Lots of food & crafts, just a... more

We made spur of the moment plans to ski at big mountain. All the on mountain condo's were booked for a group our size (we only have 3 and didn't want to pay for a condo for 8). So we selected the Pine lodge which is down in Whitefish. To splurge we upgraded to the "suite" that has a separate... more

It's always a pleasure to stay at the Pine Lodge. A "Mini-Suite" is worth the extra $20 or $30. There is extra room, a microwave and a fridge, a private balcony or patio overlooking the river. The indoor/outdoor pool is as nice in the winter as the summer and the outdoor hot-tub during a winter blizzard is a real treat.... more

The pictures of the rooms on their website show the upstairs suites, which have vaulted ceilings and a jacuzzi. However most of the rooms are simple, but clean. This hotel, and it most certainly is a hotel, not a lodge, is very average for a resort town like Whitefish, BUT for a few key things. The most important is that... more
