Wonderful view, love the bed, very clean and the complimentary shampoo and lotion actually smell great! Cute balcony. One downfall was the thin walls, make sure to ask for top floor room. Friendly staff. Didn't have breakfast so can't say anything about that. But would defiantly come again!

My wife and I stayed one night.. I made the reservation on the phone. I was told the inn was 8 blocks from downtown, when it is more like 14. Not a big deal but a much longer walk than expected. Upon checkin they did not have any record of our reservation, but they were basically empty. Unfortunately they gave... More

We are currently making our first road trip, since retiring. Before the Duck Inn, we stayed in four other hotels. The Duck Inn is by far the best stay of all and compares with some of the most enjoyable places we have stayed, throughout the United States and Europe. The inn is situated immediately adjacent to the Whitefish River and... More

A unique place to stay. Not exactly a B&B, not exactly a hotel. Just a lovely spot on the Whitefish River with the right about of personal attention and privacy. Also a perfect location between Glacier National Park and Kalispell. Less than 1 mile into Whitefish for great restaurants and events. We loved the weekly Farmers' Market.

We booked a few nights for out of town guests whom we could not accomodate at our home, thinking it would be like our home. Not. It seems that certain Canadians are given preferential treatment (maybe because they are louder, ruder and flash their credit cards constantly) over anyone else. Our quests felt embarrassed that they stayed there (they just... More

My husband and i stayed at the Duck Inn Lodge recently and enjoyed EVERYTHING about it. The location is very convenient, the owner Sandy Zielke was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room, the Logan Suite was beautiful...king bed, jacuzzi tub, complimentary bottle of wine, small deck overlooking the river. Sandy gave us several recommendations for dinner; the staff was helpful,... More

Grim, grim, grim. Enter in the late afternoon and you can barely find your way around it was so dark. No lights on to make it easier. Room was very small, decorated a la Home Depot, and the doors into and in the room were a dark wood with black graining. There were 2 windows, one small and the other... More

My wife booked a room at the Duck Inn for the two of us, and our kids. We had a night planned in Whitefish on our way from the Canadian Rockies back home out east, and plans for a rafting trip in the afternoon, in nearby Glacier Park. The Duck Inn website lists the Inn as "the only B&B on... More

Great location and cute hotel. The check-in person was awesome & recommended a good local eatery. The other (younger) staff need to be more customer service friendly. I felt I was imposing on her when getting our free breakfast the next morning. I wanted to say Be outgoing to these guests! You want them to come back!

After a long trip over a wet snow covered mountain pass we arrived at 1:30. Since check in time was 3:00 P.M., were told that there would be a $50.00 early arrival fee. This was not the warm welcome that I was expecting and was immediately turned off. Staff was friendly, breakfast was good and the room was nice. WIFI... More
