From the moment Chris greeted us at our car (to carry in our luggage) to our farewell after breakfast, we were treated like royalty! Chris and Rhonda have paid attention to every detail from the coffee service with a fresh rose arriving at our door a half hour before breakfast to the magnifying mirror in the bathroom. They have thought... More

Yes, every one of the positive reviews is completely true! From the moment you are welcomed over the doorstep right through to your departure, you are Chris and Rhonda's most important concern as they want every aspect of your holiday to be perfect. They are able to offer expert advice on where to go in the Park regardless of age,... More

This intimate B&B is the ultimate in "guest care." This converted home is cozy and has all the original architecture and is extremely well-maintained. Chris is a wonderful host and takes his job of making sure each and every detail is attended to during your stay. The breakfast is one of the best we ever had. If you are looking... More

When you take much-needed vacation, a mental break from the daily stresses of work and home life, what is ideal? New experiences, new atmosphere, new perspective. But you remain accustomed to certain comforts which would, while away from home, be surely welcomed. A vacation to see the wonders of the great Glacier National Park requires time--hiking, driving the expansive park,... More

We spent 4 nights while visiting Glacier National Park and returned for one night before flying out. Upon our return, it truly felt like a homecoming. The hospitality, service, food and attention to detail are absolutely impeccable. Owners Chris and Rhonda are gracious, warm and welcoming, and have literally thought of everything to make their guests feel both pampered and... More

Flawless. We stayed 2 nights to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and picked a gem of a hotel. The personal warm welcome from hosts Chris & Rhonda was more in keeping with friends meeting again rather than a hotel front desk. This was the first of many instances showing their attention to detail and their obvious joy in focusing on... More

We spent several nights at the Garden Wall Inn in February and we were taken aback about How wonderful and perfect everything was. The innkeepers Chris and Rhonda are doing an amazing job and will spoil you forever, upon arrival we were greeted very friendly and Chris made sure to make a reservation for our dinner. The house is beautiful... More

Our family (six persons) was in Whitefish for a celebration this last June. We'd booked into the Garden Wall Inn largely on the basis of internet recommendations. We were not disappointed. The inn is located in a cozy 1920's bungalow that's just two short blocks from the downtown Whitefish retail district. While the inn faces onto a main street, it... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The award-winning Garden Wall Inn has been catering to discerning travelers since 1987. The impeccably restored 1920’s inn offers five luxurious guestrooms, each furnished with period antiques. Scrumptious three-course breakfasts are prepared by chef/owners Rhonda Fitzgerald and Chris Schustrom. The Inn is a convenient one-block walk from downtown Whitefish’s excellent restaurants, shops and nightspots. Only 25 minutes from Glacier National Park, the Inn is the perfect base for exploring the Park. The Inn is built in the "Colonial Revival" style with a gambrel roof and clapboard siding. The interior is accented by original solid maple flooring, arts-and-crafts fir moldings, and beveled-glass french doors. The guestrooms’ private baths boast huge claw-foot tubs, pedestal sinks, and black-and-white art-deco tile. Oriental carpets and fine antique furniture complement the lovely rooms. ... more   less
