I stayed 2 nights in this hotel in a dorm room but wish I had stayed longer as the location for yellowstone was the best I found. The place itself was old and rustic but clean, the shared bathrooms were clean. You get a voucher for $5 off breakfast which I used to get breakfast next door. The hotel provides... More

We appreciated that the hotel was only a couple of blocks from the entrance to Yellowstone, given how far things are within the park. Check in was smooth and easy. Our room was small but clean and comfortable. We were in room #1 which was nice in that it was on the other end of the hallway from the shared... More

Wonderful hotel, super owner and desk lady was amazingly sweet. Wonderful room and most pleasant experience in our cross country road trip. Arrived to find we had booked Norman Bates "Bates Motel" online without knowing it and had to run to find another quickly. It was disheartening until we found "The Madison" and it made everything perfect. Funny it cost... More

This is an old hotel, so be prepared for "old." The beds were a bit creaky. We received a breakfast voucher for $5 off breakfast but were unable to use it at the designated restaurant because of poor, slow service.

This is definitely old. The room was small, but clean and comfortable. We opted for a room with fridge, microwave, and TV. There are rooms that maintain the older tradition, and have none of these.Chamber Maid needs to be shown how to put a fitted sheet on a bed. We were lucky to find a place for the two nights... More

This is the wife's review of the hotel. The hotel was charming with dead stuffed animals in the foyer and 24/7 access. Right next to great shopping and the Madison Lounge Rest. where we ate happily every night. The hotel mange offered to come up and blow-dry my hair himself when the hair dryer didn't work!!

When I booked this in July for a September arrival, there weren't a lot of choices. Glad to find this quaint, quirky, affordable and comfortable place, where we got the only room with a king bed and private bathroom. This is as much hostel as hotel, and it appeared most guests stayed only one night. We stayed for three and... More

Hubby and I stayed four nights in room 106. First time in West Yellowstone so I really have nothing to compare to. I mostly stay in chain hotels, so staying in a historic hotel is different. Room was small with one fairly comfortable double bed (might not be comfortable for a lot of people, but we are small so it... More

This was my favorite hotel of our trip. We stopped here by chance and the gal at the front desk was incredibly helpful and nice. She let us look at the motel rooms and the rooms inside the lodge before we made our decision. They have motel rooms, hostel rooms, lodge room with a bathroom, and lodge rooms with the... More

The hotel really is something special. The lobby has elk horns, the walls and floors are form wood so we could hear everything from the check in desk. The room was very small but the bed was comfortable so thats more important. The bathrooms were very clean. The price was quite high but compared to other accommodations in West Yellowstone... More
