The location was difficult to locate, especially in the dark, as the only signage was a small banner at the entrance, which was not obvious from the road. The property was vast, and made you feel as if there was nothing around for miles. A herd of horses graze nearby, and it overall felt like a step back in time.... More

I planned a 14 day cross country trip for my husband and me and this was a stop I didn't tell him about. The drive is back a dusty gravel/dirt road. You pass a huge lodge and keep on going. He was a little disappointed when I drove past into a field with tents. Check in was fine and a... More

Thank you for taking the time to post a review on TripAdvisor. We have updated again and are continually improving based on your review. We were so looking forward to our two nights spent here in mid-June, however were so disappointed. Our tent lacked a stove and we literally froze. Our tent slept 4 single beds so we were told the stove wasn't possible. Even if we had had a stove, the teen management was ill-trained and unprepared. Those that had a stove ran... More

Yellowstone Under Canvas is an impressive sight as one approaches all the white canvas tents in a large field, along a trout stream with mountains in the background. Check in was easy with luggage being transported from the parking lot by a driver in a golf cart. We had two grandchildren with us & had a tent with 4 luxurious... More

There is no question that our stay would not have been as good if we didn't have a "deluxe safari tent" with our own bathroom, shower and extra teepee. We had other family members with us who stayed in the less expensive tents with shared bathrooms, and not only was their tent much colder than our tent, but also they... More

Thank you for taking the time to post a review to Trip Advisor. We are thrilled to hear your family had such a great vacation. Unfortunately we did not enjoy our time here. We were very much looking forward to our stay during our Honeymoon but when we arrived we felt that the marketing of the place was a very exaggerated. The tents are ok but be prepared to be very close to other tents, not as we had been led to believe. We have... More

We visited Yellowstone at the beginning of Sept 2014, and booked a tent with Yellowstone Under Canvas. The place is very clean and have all the needed/necessary amenities. They have this little fire burning stove that helps us a lot during the cold nights, and it is a fun thing to do trying to build our own fire. There are... More

I stayed at Under Canvas on August 29th, 2014. The Young mens at check-in were very nice and helpful. They helped quite a bit with starting the fire also. We stayed in a deluxe safari tent (suite, i believe). It was perfectly glamped out and very clean with plenty of room for our family of four.
