We have never stayed at the Campfire Lodge Resort but we have used the fly shop and most certainly eaten the tremendous breakfast there. If you don't follow any other advise, SHARE! Pay there $2.00 per plate sharing charge. The pancake is enough for 4 people. The breakfast is amazing. Huge portions, great taste, and down home staff who are... More

My wife and I recently camped here and we are glad we did. July is probably the most crowded month to visit Yellowstone but we went anyways because we love going there. Going to to Yellowstone during peak season can make finding a campground impossible unless you're willing to look further away, and I'm glad we did. Located about 20... More

If you're on Hwy 287 between West Yellowstone and Ennis in need of breakfast or lunch, make it a point to stop here. For lunch I had the special of the day which was a gigantic blueberry pancake that covered the entire plate, thick and fluffy, with large pieces of bacon unlike the skimpy ones you usually get in a... We stopped to eat lunch here and decided instead to indulge in their all day breakfast--which were some excellent eggs and potatoes. The service was fast and friendly--with some humor to boot! A plus, for a select few, is the attached fly shop where we managed to spend much more than we did on breakfast!

Spent a week at Campfire Lodge Resort and 2 of us stayed in Cabin #3 right on the Madison River. Fell asleep each night listening to the sound of the Madison river. The cabin was clean, shower worked great and heaters kept us warm during the very cool nights. The prices for their cabins are very reasonable compared to in... More

If you leave here hungry, it's your own fault. Very few restaurants do huge portions that actually taste good, but the Campfire has got it goin' on. We tried everything---from the hubcap-sized cinnamon rolls (baked juuuuuust right) to the biscuits'n'gravy to the space station-sized pancake. Yes, panCAKE, because if you eat two, you will BE the size of the space... More

This was our last day in Montana and we stopped in for breakfast. Wow. Service was great and the food comes in huge delisious portions. Stop by on a day when you don't expect to eat lunch. The place is located right on the madison. I spoke with several couples staying in one of the cabins and they loved it.

My family and I have been coming to the Campfire Lodge every year for nearly 30 years to fish on the beautiful Madison River which is right out your backdoor at Campfire Lodge. Over the years our family has grown and now we are on our 3rd generation who love the Madison River fishing and being together as a family.... More

A scathing review from a customer who did not want to follow U.S. Forest Service regulations. We are legally bound to enforce them. Previous owners were also "out of staters" . We unexpectedly had to install both a new water and septic system due to not meeting health and environmental codes that were put in place years before we took... More

For some of the largest pancakes in the continental USA, try this place. The waitress was a temp and didn't warn us about the size of these things and they were enormous and delicious. We ordered the pancake sandwich which came with one egg, two enormous slices of bacon and two pancakes that would have fed an entire football team.... More

We rented a cabin near the river, it was ok for a short visit, though in need of a fair bit of TLC. Cleanliness was so so, and the wife was doing a mouse check every night before bed. We did find mouse droppings a couple of times. It's about what I expected though, similar to some fishing camps I've... More
