We recently visited Yellowstone as part of our three-week cross-country USA road trip, and stayed at the Hibernation Station for two nights. The cosy and spacious cabin was perfect for my family of four, and had all the facilities you might expect from a rustic hotel! The bathroom was a very good size, and the two bedroomed cabin was equipped... More

We had a great two night stay here in a family style cabin. The room had three queen size beds and one bathroom. There was plenty of space for the four of us, but the room could easily accommodate six. The full kitchen was an added bonus even though we didn't really use it very much, and the gas fireplace... I began the tradition of taking myself (and sometimes friends) to Yellowstone in 2010. I had been a couple of times as a child and remembered being in awe at the place. When I went as a child, I had stayed in tent cabins inside the park. But, I decided that year to stay in a hotel. I searched for... More

Hibernation Station is a great choice for a family visiting Yellowstone. They have stand alone cabins decorated inside and out with a Western theme. In our cabin they converted the living room into a spacious second bedroom with two queen beds, in addition to the main bedroom, so everyone had plenty of sleeping space. There's still plenty of room to... More

Normally, we stay at the Holiday Inn when visiting Yellowstone. However, this past weekend, they had no vacancy; so, after asking around, we were referred to the cabins at Hibernation Station- (pet friendly facilities). At first, I was skeptical, but what a pleasant surprise! Our cabin was beautiful! Spacious, and clean. We stayed at the cabin where various famous artists... More

Let me start by saying that this place looks nothing like the pictures online! Our cabin was very run down and outdated. The bedspreads were threadbare, the screen had a giant hole in it, and the room setup was terribly illogical, making it difficult to relax at the end of the day. The bench on the porch was covered in... More

I really enjoyed my one night stay at Hibernation Station. I was given one of the older cabins and enjoyed a very comfortable night's sleep on a great bed. The bathroom had all the amenities which could be required. My cabin was roomy and clean. The wifi room was perfectly adequate, although I could have done without the guests who... More

Hibernation Station is a good old friend. We've stayed here many times. The staff is not quite as good, the logs need some shellac, but ya know, there's nothin better than sitting on the front porch or in front of the fireplace. Quiet and peaceful. Good coffee. Wi-fi building close.

I've been staying here off and on since the first cabins were built and hate to write that each visit becomes more disappointing. We had similar experiences as some of the other reviewers in dealing with negative reactions when booking errors/cabin requests were made or other issues with rooms (once even so bad that we didn't stay here for many... Stayed here 5 years ago. Unit 26. Rooms were not cleaned well. I don't remember no door on bathroom. When reservation made I said we required WIFI in the room to stay here . She said there was. There wasn't. Had to check out day early ... without refund of course.
