Without telling the whole story, suffice to say I had raved about the hotel and loved it, only to find on my next stay that they would be irrational and rude and surprisingly oblivious to good customer service, I brought a cat and was told the next day (!) that I was not supposed to be there with my cat.... We usually bypass Three Forks on cross country trips, preferring to head down the road to Bozeman. Big mistake. The Sacajawea is a tremendous hotel, in the middle of a lot of interesting geology and history. We travel in the off season so the weather is usually mild and we usually try to book the nicest and quietest room in... More

From the moment we walked in the door we felt welcomed! The staff was friendly and welcoming. Couldn't wait to grab a cold one and sit ourselves down on the gorgeous front porch. Our large room was well appointed and comfortable. So quite on the second floor facing the back yard. We enjoyed a stroll around town before heading into... More

While my husband was elk hunting at Hidden Hollow Hideaway in Townsend,MT I arranged a 4 day getaway for myself and my two best friends who had never seen Montana. This hotel was the ideal choice! They flew into Bozeman, (the hotel is 30 minutes away). We were greeted with champagne and warm towels. Had a lovely room on the... More

We were very happy with our stay on this visit! The remodel has kept the charm and the history of the area alive. The hotel was originally built to show off to the people traveling through the area by train and the staff has kept this tradition by offering champagne and hot towels at check in. Breakfast was extremely prompt... More

Do NOT stay here unless you want to party! We visited in late August and were blasted with karaoke music from the bar below us until 1 am. We were very disappointed as we had a fabulous stay when it first opened and found it a grand hotel with a fine restaurant, beautiful furnishings, and a welcoming ambiance. Our August... More

It is true, we do have live music on Friday and Saturdays and sadly due to the historic nature of the hotel, sounds can be heard from the first floor rooms. I do apologize that this wasn't communicated well enough to you as we do our best to inform guests of this prior to arrival. We continue to book these... More

My husband and I wanted a quick trip for relaxing before our baby is due. The hotel was beautiful and my husband enjoyed the complimentary champagne upon arrival, but trying to relax at night was difficult. When I booked the room the front desk explained how a room on the first floor might be noisy due to the live band... More

It saddens me to hear that you did not find the hotel relaxing, especially as a mother to be. Due to the historic nature of the hotel, our walls don't contain the construction or insulation of modern hotels. We do offer earplugs for this reason, however I know that doesn't change your experience with us. If you find yourselves in... More

As frequent travelers to historic hotels and inns, my husband and I were surprised to be very disappointed in the Sacajawea Hotel. Of course, we expected quaint surroundings and smaller rooms at this historic property than a large hotel, but the on-line photos of the hotel are very misleading. We had reserved very far in advance a room with two... More

First of all, thank you for taking the time to write a review as they are very important to us to make changes and improvements. I'm disturbed by your treatment as this is not the way we treat our guests and it will be addressed with the staff. We have made changes to our breakfast tags to include the option... More

Who would ever expect a town the size of Three Forks to have a genuinely luxurious hotel. We were blown away by this place! Historic building, lovely furnishings, great restaurant upstairs and bar downstairs, plush towels and robes, breakfast in bed, complimentary champagne that we enjoyed on the wide front porch, need I say more to convince you? For the... More

An unexpectedly crowded homecoming weekend led us past our normal destination to Three Forks, Montana. We were able to obtain the last two rooms in the area, and what a pleasant surprise. A delightful 100 year old property converted into beautiful hotel with extraordinary comforts and attention to detail. An inviting veranda with flowers and porch rockers lead to a... More
