We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon. The courtyard area is a little oasis with a fountain, hanging baskets, and some lovely plants all around. We stayed in the room with two bunk beds since our kiddos were with us. The room was sufficient for what we needed. We had dinner there the first night, and it was delicious. It could... More

We chose the Laughing Horse Lodge based on the positive reviews we saw on Trip Advisor and because of the prices/negative reviews on hotels that were close to Glacier National Park. We knew that the Laughing Horse was pretty far from the park but we typically don't mind a drive. Let me just say that the lodge is a beautiful... More

We stayed at the Laughing Horse Lodge for our honeymoon for 4 nights. My husband and I were really excited about it and when we got there, it was really cute and in a fun location. I grew up around Seeley Lake, so I was excited to spend some time around there. We were excited about the food and about... More

Thank you for being a guest in my home and violating my privacy by publishing your observation of a very personal and painful moment between my mother Gloria and me. To be clear, I wasn't 'yelling' at my 'elderly' parent, I was screaming at a stubborn woman who was refusing to take her heart medication. Future guests, however, won't have... More

There are really four things to review: (1) Restaurant for evening meal. Really excellent food, drink, and service. Kathleen is a wonder in the kitchen: our appetizer with a German blue cheese, figs, and fig jam was scrumptious; main courses of red trout and of tender pork (both on beds of interesting veggies); dessert good (peaches and huckleberries) but could... Put this place on your list of get-a-way spots. Kathleen runs a down to earth, charm filled, B&B style retreat. The cabins are cozy and extremely comfortable. If you're looking for a TV in your room you don't belong here. The perfect evening can be found in the flower and bird filled gardens with a glass of wine and a... More

Again, we had a wonderful, relaxing time thanks to Kathleen & her staff! The room was excellent! The food was superb! (especially the french bread & goat butter & the Tomato soup! The steaks were some of the best tasting we've ever had and really tender! We will be back again!

We came through the Swan Lake area a couple of years ago and discovered this charming, well-run spot. Upon our return this year we were greeted with an early season package including dinners and breakfast- [and the usual golden retriever hosts]! No need to twist our arms--coming back from a day of hiking to a classy, delicious yet homey meal... More

This is the second time we stayed at the Laughing Horse. We decided to get away over Thanksgiving and the Thanksgiving meal was wonderful. Kathleen is a spectacular chef. Her meals are unique. This is true for dinner or breakfast. She is also very accommodating regarding dietary issues. The room was cozy and clean. The bed was comfy and warm... More

Decided not to cook dinner for Thanksgiving and found this little gem on the internet. Was worried I would be disappointed, but it turned out wonderful. The meal was great, loved the dogs which seemed to make it even more homey and just a very nice evening. The rooms are cozy and very clean. We stayed in the winter so... More

We found this delightful lodge on our return from Glacier National Park. It turned out to be a hidden gem. A warm ,cozy room with the heat on greeted us late at night. A unique check in included signing in on a board on the front porch and checking off the room we chose. The room was adorable and clean... More
