When exploring to fantastic Lamar Valley, there is not a better place to stay than Silver gate Cabins. We've been coming for years and they are constantly upgrading their Cabins. Friendly folks run the place, the Owner is their to make sure that guests have great time. The little store is full of very interesting items. You will not regret a... More

We stayed in Cabin SG2 on the nights of 9 and 10 September on our way between Sheridan WY and West Yellowstone. We could not have been happier with our stay. You really feel like you are on an island, and away from whatever else is going on in the world (e.g. not another Donald Trump interview on TV!). Being... More

We rented cabins 5 & 6 & was quite surprised at how nice they were. They both had 2 queen beds, nice bathroom, kitchen with stove, frig & any utensils you might need. The beds were very comfy with thick comforters for the cool nights. It also had a heater if it got too cold, but we didn't need it.... More

Fantastic value for money. The kind worker accepted us very welcoming at a late hour, and assigned us two near rooms as we needed. While dinner, a buffalo was strolling around the cabin and it was a great nature experience and attraction for the lodge. Sunset was beautiful from the cabin

Few cabins with a great breakfast place just nearby, conveniently located on the Northeastern border of Yellowstone NP. A perfect place to enjoy few days of calm (no cell coverage !) while visiting Lamar valley or hiking around. Nearby civilization, Cooke City, population 75inh is located barely 4miles away, with its General Store dating back to 1850s and a small... More

Can't wait to stay again! Perfect for families of 6! Location couldn't be any better - minutes from Yellowstone & near Beartooth. Beds were great. Kitchen perfect for easy meals. Kids loved eating breakfast outside on the picnic table with 360 views of mountains. Stayed August 2014

nice clean cabins if you need a place to stay by the northeastern part of Yellowstone (near Lamar valley). Very small town with about 2 restaurants. Very friendly staff. Back cabin is a little scary at night. Cool bison hide for sale in the office. Availability in the park at Lake Yellowstone and Old Faithful was totally booked and very... More

We stayed in Silver Gate Cabins, Montana(MT) during our trip to Yellowstone National Park(YNP) and it was a wonderful experience. We were there from May 29(evening) to June 3(morning). Picked the north east corner due to its proximity to Lamar Valley. May be as a beginner to YNP we shouldn't have done that and we were a touch apprehensive about... More

We were never told that this cabin was so remote on a muddy, secluded road. Whispering Pines #6 was not on the main road and as you crossed the bridge there's a sign that said "Grizzly in area". After checking out the cabin, which did appear to be cute, we decided that it wouldn't stand up to a bear's visit... More

Stayed in Silver Gate cabin #2. We were very excited when we drove up to our cabin. It gave us a warm cozy feeling. Couldn't wait to check out the inside. Equally excited. Clean, comfortable beds, thick plush towels, and everything needed for cooking in kitchen. The general store would build a fire at night for talking and making smores.... More
