My two friends and I stayed at the Moriah motel when we were visiting Virginia City. The room was a bit old fashioned but everything was clean and tidy. The sheets were also soft and the towels plush. I would recommend this motel to folks visiting Virginia City or Twin Bridges.

This is my second stay at this motel. There are not many options between Twin Bridges and Sheridan and I found this motel to be very reasonably priced and the owners are very friendly and accomodating. My first stay we needed to check in fairly late and the owners worked with us. The second stay was sort of last minute... More

I stayed in this wonderful motel in June of 2013. I was traveling through from Idaho Falls, Idaho. My trip was to explore the local ghost towns. Virginia City, Nevada City, and on to Bannack the next day. I stayed here for one night with my little dog. (Yes they are pet friendly). The owners were super sweet and the... More

This small Motel is number one. Clean, quiet, great owners. Not a big city new motel but they have everything you need for a nice stay. Great area to kick back and play in the outdoors. You can go up into the mountains or play in the rivers or creeks. Great place to eat is just up the road at... More

Others have written about the quality of this motel, but I think it is worth writing to add my confirmation that this motel is a fine place to stay in southwestern Montana. The motel itself has all of the comforts required and at a reasonably high level, given the price. The operators and their staff are friendly. The town has... More

As an earlier reviewer noted, Sherry gives a nice hotel an exquisite personality. The rooms and beds are comfortable, wi-fi and a refrigerator are provided. The Moriah is convenient to the historic mining towns of Virginia City and Nevada City. The hotel is near restaurants and a long-hours gas station. Sherry makes the place. She's there to help, cheerful, friendly,... More

Sherry the host/owner is one of those individuals you hope to meet on a trip. What a great personality you have! Your motel was cute, clean and affordable. This is one of those "Mom and Pop" operations that have what the chain operations are lacking...charm! Thanks for sharing your "moose encounter" pictures. A good local eatery and a well stocked... I've stayed here on several occasions and I love this place. The rooms are pristine, the beds are awesome (...made locally), the staff are friendly, and the owners are super helpful...Sherry and Larry and some of the nicest people. It doesn't matter what you need they will go out of their way to help -- even suggest some of their... More

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in mid September, 2011 and were very pleased with all aspects of the motel. We were courteously greeted by the lady at the desk, and our room was spotless, comfortable, and quiet. We had made reservations, which was fortunate, as there were no vacancies left. There is a little restaurant across... More
