This is truly the "renovated 1937 cabin" per Glacier Lodging description. Everything is well worn and well-used. It does have adequate bedding - double bed in one small room and bunk beds in the other small room. There is a sleeper sofa in the living area. I would not call the beds comfy but they are adequate. Bathroom is small... More

We booked this 3 months ago. Called from Helena said we would arrive late - could someone give us good directions - talked to 4 people all said they were not familiar with the area. Could not help. We arrived - the last 30 miles are very slow curves in the dark with range animals in the road. Parking lot... More

We were staying at St Mary's Lodge 2 nights. First night, we had a room with 2 queen beds because they didn't have a King when I made the reservation. The second night we had paid for a Superior King Room in the Lodge the most expensive room type. I had paid for it several months in advance. After the... More

After reading the reviews here, I was almost afraid to check in at the East Motel. We are on a long cross-country trip with our dog, so needed a facility where he could stay. The East Motel is pretty much it. But given my low expectations, I found the motel fine for our needs. There is no gross carpet on... More

The St Mary Lodge was nice looking and authentic inside - great view and great location for exploring the amazing Going-to-the-sun-road. We liked it better than the over-crowded Many Glacier and Lake McDonald. We stayed at the motel part across the road - overpriced, but still cheaper than most places in and around the park. The motel room was small,... More

We wanted all our hotel stays in the park....but didn't make reservations early enough to make that happen (book at least 6 months in advance). So we stayed here-right outside the park. It was fine! Accommodating staff, nice lounge area, decent bed. What more do you need?

As far as accommodations inside or nearby National Parks, this was one of our better experiences. The rooms were above average for the environment, the people were friendly, and (glory be) the restaurant was wonderful. Keep in mind, please, I'm comparing to other National Park facilities, not city luxury hotels. The rooms are clean, air conditioned, and well-maintained and serviced.... More

I stayed in the "Value Room" for 3 days - August 14 - 16, 2013. It gave me everything I needed and the price was right ($114 per night). What I wanted was a chance to open my window at night (to enjoy the pure mountain air), a good price and a comfortable room. The room I had gave me... More

We stayed at the west motel and it was a nice comfortable room and the rooms on the backside of the motel were very quiet. Food at the lodge was good but the service was great. The only real downside was the price as the room was overpriced for what it was.

The good part: Location - It is right next to Glacier National Park. The service was okay. The bad part: the room. We booked a "value" queen room (nothing else available) and found out when we got there that it was in the basement. We had one small high window which was right up against dirt and rocks and smelled... More
