Although not directly in the park, the lodge is right at the eastern entrance to the park and the Going-to-the Sun highway. Of all the lodging choices on the eastern side of the park, this was the most convenient to explore the park. Unfortunately, the Going-to-the-Sun road was still closed because of snow (July 1) and did not open until... More

Although we didn't stay at the lodge, we stopped by to have a snack and publish our blogs. We ordered nachos, thinking that would be a small snack. It was HUGE and very tasty! We skipped dinner! Another day we had the huckleberry lemonade and that was to die for! The servers weren't pushy and refilled our drinks without being... More

This property has the potential to be phenomenally great, however, it is just the opposite. Dirty, bugs, and dated does not match the expense of staying in the motel on this property. I would never recommend the St. Mary Lodge, Cabins and Motel based on the one night we stayed there. The mountain views there are beautiful beyond words and... More

My husband and I are not super picky. We have stayed at many different hotels, motels, etc. We just were not happy with our stay here, especially given the money it cost. Our room was in the "motel" section across the road. It was small (not a big deal), but clean. We found the bed to be very uncomfortable and... More

If you want to discover a National Park, but don't like staying in super old hotels that smell old and funky, you need to consider this place. I love enjoying the scenery in a National Park, but I want a good bed and pillow, a clean smell, an updated bathroom, a little character. Chain hotels are necessary sometimes, but I... More

We stayed for 2 nights in the budget room. I know it says budget but for the price it didn't seem budget at all. It is in the basement with no window - awful we wanted to leave. Don't do it. Pay more and stay somewhere else. Karen Freeman

We had a great room on a high floor with a balcony overlooking mountains and roaring stream. Room was clean and updated. Expensive this time of year though. Restaurant was fine. They messed up our breakfast order. Menu is expensive. Nice lodge. Awesome location to explore the east side of Glacier.

We stayed here during our recent trip to Glacier National Park. We stayed in the West Wing Motel section. Our room was very small, but cutely decorated. A great lodge theme! We had everything we needed, including a TV. Our bed was very large and comfortable. My only complaint was that there is no ice machine near these rooms. You... More

We stayed in a 1-bedroom cabin, and it was perfect! Very clean, modern, but in perfect location to the St Mary entrance to the park, with views of the river and mountains out your backdoor! Nearby restaurants and amenities, it was a great spot to crash for the night after a day of adventuring! I didn't want to leave!

Stayed two nights in the "motel" section of the lodge. This section is a separate building across the road from the lodge. Tiny room, filled to capacity by two queen beds. Tiny bathroom, with the sink outside in the bedroom. Room was really dark and hot - the air conditioner put out more noise than air, and as sometimes happens... More
