We stayed in room 309. Great views, clean rooms/bath, amenity fully stocked, good cleaning service, great gals in registration, coffee & goodies in coffee shop was good - just takes a while so need to account for that... Great gift shop for nicknacks... The lodge is right next to sporting goods, gas station, and grocery store... Which is absolutely fantastic... More

Previously we had stayed here in the cabins and had found them cramped. This time we booked a room in the main accommodation building. On paper the price is a bit high. Once you step into your room you can reconsider. Our room was on the third/top floor. It was spacious with a comfortable bed and pleasantly furnished with a... More

when you arrive you know that you could possibly wake every morning breathing fresh air, hearing a bobbling brook, and see the beautiful mountain landscape. I awoke every morning to a window (which I hear I was lucky to get) to chunks of asphalt, concrete and the view of the bottom of the restaurant. the room was clean, no carpet... More

Originally my husband and I booked one of the cabins overlooking Divide Creek. Upon arrival, we took a look at the cabin and because it was divided into rooms, it was really cramped. Also, very close to other cabins....just not appealing. The bed was large, the bedroom very small and you could barely walk around the mattress to get through... More

I booked what they called a "value room" for $119 plus 14% tax. When I arrived I checked in and was told my room was "downstairs". It was a basement room with an opaque window almost to the ceiling. I could see shadows of walking feet. I returned to the desk. "I don't do basements" I said. Then they showed... More

Did not stay at the Lodge but stopped here for lunch on our way to Waterton. The view was much better than the food. In fact the view for lunch was spectacular and the lunch was only so-so. Service was fine and (like most of the park area) the food was overpriced. But there are not a lot of options... More

St. Mary Lodge is conveniently located near the east entrance of Glacier National Park. My husband booked an Early Summer special room rate and we were placed in a value room for 3 nights. Though the lodge's website clearly describes the bare-bones value rooms, my husband was unaware that the special was for a value room. The value rooms have no... More

Although not directly in the park, the lodge is right at the eastern entrance to the park and the Going-to-the Sun highway. Of all the lodging choices on the eastern side of the park, this was the most convenient to explore the park. Unfortunately, the Going-to-the-Sun road was still closed because of snow (July 1) and did not open until... More

Although we didn't stay at the lodge, we stopped by to have a snack and publish our blogs. We ordered nachos, thinking that would be a small snack. It was HUGE and very tasty! We skipped dinner! Another day we had the huckleberry lemonade and that was to die for! The servers weren't pushy and refilled our drinks without being... More

Just outside the east entrance to Glacier National Park and Going to the Sun Road, St. Mary Lodge offers fast wifi compared to inside the park. Their nachos aren't your everyday fare and enough to tempt 4 diners. Their huckleberry lemonade is a joy to the taste buds. And their gift shop is varied and reasonably priced.
