I admit, I booked this place because it was cheap and all we really needed was a place to lay our head after a busy day at Yellowstone. The outside is VERY rundown with duct tape on the patio door. Inside isn't too bad however they had clear packing tape on the ceiling where the cracks were in our room?!... More

My mom and I were told our room would be 149.00. We were charged 15.00 more dollars than I had expected. The walls are paper thin, can hear everything in the hallway. WiFi did not work through the Lupine site. Had to hook up to another hotel. I was told that our room we had reserved had 2 beds. It... More

We were not really happy with our stay here. The lobby was very dirty when we arrived and I had to wait for 10 minutes for someone to come to the desk after ringing the buzzer. I'm sorry to say but I could not hardly understand the gentlemen that finally helped me. The room had a musty smell and walls... More

If there are no other places in Red Lodge to stay go to Billings or Cody. Don't stay here. The only positive thing I can say about the Lupine is we HOPE it was bug free. Other than that it is completely run down. The carpet should have been replaced 10 years ago. Lights didn't work, and lamp shades were... More

I had read the other reviews and I was genuinely concerned. I also tried looking for a different place to stay. However, this is the first town after you cross Beartooth pass from Yellowstone and all other places were booked. After a late evening drive over the Beartooth pass, we just wanted to crash. The owner himself was at the... More

The review that said you essentially are paying for a trip to 1970 -- nailed it. The place is run down, nothing has been updated for 30 years, broken window taped together by entrance. So, my first impression was VERY bad. In the end, it was fine. The rooms were normal -- clean enough and nothing was creepy. The man... More

After the stay in the 2 star Super 8 in Livingston I was very worried about the Lupine. I was wrong. This is a nice little motel. The rooms were clean and nice. This is an older motel but I will stay here again. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise. I had homemade biscuits and gravy.

Given the price you pay the Lupine Inn is on the expensive side for what you get. What you get is time travel back to the 70's. The hallways are badly in need of updating. The carpet is terrible, bordering on gross. It doesn't look clean but it's probably as clean as they can get it. Room itself was not... More

When I travel on the motorcycle, I am tired and have no need for extra fluff that I will not use anyhow. I need a quiet clean room and bathroom to get clean again and sleep. TV did not work, which is handy to check the weather report. The owner was nice at the desk. Looks like the usual sort... More

I stayed here with my fiance. We called the hotel directly and booked the room. got very reasonable rate, rooms were well maintained and cleaned. Dogart italian was pretty close to the hotel and had good food. Front desk guy was very hard working and taking care of everything. I would stay here again.
