My wife and I stayed three days and two nights after a visit to Yellowstone. The inn, which has operated since 1879, is located about 40 road miles north of Yellowstone. Beautiful location, nestled into some undulating washes at the base of the mountains. Elevation is 5,280 feet and you have a view of snow-capped mountains to the west. NOTE:... More

My husband and I came into Chico on our 3 week honeymoon road trip. They offer rates for any traveler and had a great feel to the resort. It felt very homey and the ENTIRE staff was friendly. We brought our two dogs and they were welcomed as well. (There was a pet fee). We stayed in the Main Lodge... More

This hotel/Resort & Spa is where you go to RELAX! UNPLUG and ENJOY. Joe the night manager is excellent. Try the Chico Day Spa (Donna at the front desk of the spa is delightful) book a Chico massage (appx. $95 for 70 minutes includes a citrus foot scrub and hot rocks) and pick up some great bath and body goodies... Stayed in the Fisherman's Lodge...very clean, loved the front lawn for kids to play. Short walk to the pools and main hotel. Front desk was nice and helpful & friendly bar staff. Unfortunately, had a terrible dining experience in the pool diner, very unfriendly wait-staff. Sat down and waited 10mins with no help, went and asked for menus...another 10mins went... More

We stay here frequently. The rooms are a little dated but clean and comfortable. I recommend not staying in the main lodge. Most rooms require sharing a floor bathroom. They are also much older rooms. The lower lodge and cabins are newer and have their own bathrooms. The staff is friendly and the lodge offers many activities. Nice out of... More

This is an old establishment that is near Yellowstone. The resort has clean comfortable rooms; staff are friendly and helpful; and the restaurant is first-rate. The restaurant has its own organic garden which is a nice touch. Of note, there are 2 pools right next to each other (1 warmer, 1 cooler) that are fed by natural hot springs, and... More

The restaurant did not disappoint. I had a salmon that was served with just the right salsa and extras. My wife loved her dish. We went into the big pool, no smell, a pleasant swim. We had one of the cabins far north side. We caught some smell from the stables. The managers did leave a suggestions form in the... More

I put aside my business travel preferences and threw caution to the wind by booking a room in the old main lodge of the Chico Hot Springs hotel. What fun! No TV, plenty of board games, a fun hubbub of adults and kids, and a room that looked like ti hadn't been updated since the 60's - which was part... More

We stayed three nights in the fisherman's lodge located above the main grounds. Excellent service with spirited waiters in the main restaurant (dinner time). We had dinner at their restaurant twice and the food was very flavorful with local ingredients (they grow alot of their own produce). Their wine list is quite impressive with many good values. The saloon provided... More

We stayed in rustic cabin up on the hill...cabin was very clean and cozy...size of the double bed ok with us but I think the mattress was a bit old and soft. Hot pool was too full of people to get into (hotel was booked) which was disappointing - part of the appeal of Chico is the pools. Had dinner... More
