Loved this out of the way resort (about 45 minutes to an hour from Gardiner travel time). We stayed in one of their chalet's and it was very roomy and sat away from the rest of the resort, but provided for great views of early morning wildlife and sounds. The chalet was very roomy with multiple beds upstairs and a... More

We decided to do a quick trip to Yellowstone, and of course there was no lodging in the park. Not only was there a room at Chico, but it was much cheaper than anything in the park with a private bathroom. It also provided us with access to their wonderful hot spring water, and the buffet breakfast at a decent... More

We spent the night at Chico Hot Springs after a LONG day of touring Yellostone National Park, so we needed to relax and chill out. The 4 of us checked into our rooms, then went swimming. We asked to stay in the historic section of the hotel, and it was terrific. There were 2 restroom facilities on each end of... More

I've had two stays at Chico Hot Springs Resort- first for the wedding of a good friend and most recently to celebrate their anniversary. My bf and I tacked on a pre-trip to Yellowstone this time and ending trip at Chico was perfect way to go. There are several nice light hikes nearby, fly fishing, white water rafting and horseback... This was my third visit to the Chico in 25 years. I remember it years ago as an old, creaky hotel, with tiny rooms (some with bath), and no AC, a cheesy add-on motel- like wing, great dining room and saloon. And the hot springs pool. Mostly, a place to kick-back and relax. It is now a full-fledged twenty-first century... More

As always, Chico was fantastic. We've been going there for 12 years and every trip is enchanting. Do not miss dinner in the dining room. The food is impressive and the service is top-notch. They do an excellent job of keeping small children entertained (think veggie appetizer arranged like a happy face, special menu and "flaming orange" dessert.) For lodging,... More

After traveling through Yellowstone for a week with our extended family, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in 2 different rooms, (one accessible-I have a 14 year old with cerebral palsy). My twins only complaint...why aren't we staying here longer! We visited in August of 2014 for one evening, prior to heading up to Glacier National Park. Hot pools were awesome,... More

Nice resort, however do know there is no a/c, tv or phone. No tv or phone is OK, however it must have been THE Hottest day in Montana when we checked in! Mother Nature saw it fit to rain so we didn't enjoy the hot springs (closed due to rain&lightening) however we did enjoy a pizza and salad at the... More

If you like nostalgic feel and out of the way places. Chico is the place. Pet friendly. Friendly hosts. And exceptionally clean hotel and room. There is a small salon on one end. The look and feel of the whole place is comforting and inviting. I look forward to returning one day for a longer stay!!!

Historical place that has been around about 100 years. You can go horseback riding and swimming in the hot springs pool or just relax and walk around the ranch. The restaurant is one of the best in Montana. Might seem strange but its a great place to use as your base for spending a few days at Yellowstone National Park.... More
