Mineral Hot Springs are the draw here. No smelling springs just lovely hot water to soak away stress. The restaurant is billed as one of Montana's best - it's just OK for me. We stayed in the original building which had nice antique touches and a comfortable room.

My fiancée and I rented a cabin at Chico in March for his birthday. We were looking forward to a romantic, peaceful getaway. We booked massages at the spa, I loved mine, he didn't love his, so that was a bummer, since it was his birthday present. I've been to Chico on a couple occasions and I always find the... More

Most Montanans who live in the Yellowstone region think of Chico as one of the top reasons we live here, but we often take it for granted. We loved spending our last night of our Yellowstone tour with our California visitors at Chico. Slipping into the hot pool with a local brew before dinner, walking through the grounds to see... More

We traveled north from Yellowstone about 20 to 30 minutes and it's definitely worth the drive! We stayed in the Warren Wing in a King room and it was beautiful! NO phone and no A/C! They provide a box fan and a window that opens and that's exactly what we did! Divine sleeping weather in August! It's set among rolling... More

We stayed in one of the "rustic" cabins on top of the hill with a great view of the valley, and the mountains beyond. The cabin was nice: 2 beds, with a bathroom, and a coffee maker. The beds were very comfortable. There was also a porch with chairs to sip coffee in the morning and enjoy the view. It... More

This is an awesome place and we will definitely come back. The hot spring pools made us feel like we were in heaven. The food in the restaurant was second to none and the service was impeccable. We stayed in the lower lodge which was comfortable and homey. If going to Yellowstone...skip the Old Faithful Inn and stay here instead.

We had a two story cabin. The cabin comfortably slept 5. We had a full kitchen, laundry & a fireplace. After a relaxing dip in the spa, we enjoyed drinks on our private porch. The on site bar and grill offered live music. We ate in our cabin so cannot comment on food.

We visited two hot springs in Colorado last year, Sulpher Hot Springs & Joyful Journey Hot Springs, and both experiences were exceptional. Our Chico Hot Springs experience was so so: the hot spring water quality was not a standout. The room we stayed (right above the restaurant) was quite small, with cheap door lock mechanism and primitive shower setup. WiFi... More

Just made our fourth visit to Chico and it's become a familiar favorite. The setting is pure Montana, the ambience is casual and laid back, the food is fantastic, and the opportunity to stay in the historic main lodge at a reasonable rate ($85 for a room with two double beds - admission to the pools included) makes the slight... Chico definitely has lots of charm, and lots to do. It's close to Yellowstone and also has a lot of activities on site, including horse back riding, yoga and a spa. I did the three hour horseback ride and loved it. I also loved the amazing scallop appetizer and rib eye steak in the restaurant. Overall it was a great... More
