Fun place. Very lively and a bit loud at night. We stayed in the main lodge where the walls are thin so you hear from your neighbors in surrounding rooms. Go for a soak in the pool but avoid the Poolside Grille. We waited 50 minutes for a to go order. One of the items ordered was a hamburger which... more

I loved Chico Hot springs. We stayed in one of the rustic cabins. It was clean and priced well. The hot springs pools are great .They are cleaned daily so this is a plus. The dinning room was excellent food.Food was a little high priced, not bad.Service overall was very good. The breakfast was disappointing. Also get a massage at the spa.The view was wonderful!! I would... more

First of all the pool side grille is pretty good for the cost. Cheaper than all the restaurants in Gardiner plus a great location. The pool had a lot of dead flies in it and bees buzzing about. They could skim the pool more often. Also it was crowded which we expected on a Friday night. Our accomodations - room... more

We had been looking forward to visiting Chico for several years... Pool was OK, but very crowded on a Tuesday afternoon in May. Accomodations (lower lodge) nice but not exceptional. I had high hopes for the dining room. DD's mac & chees was "the best". Salmon has over-cristed with cumin and bordering on being overcooked, veggies very good. DH gave... more

My husband and I stayed in one of the small rooms without a private bathroom in the main lodge. Since we don't mind simple accommodations we were happy with the room, and spent our time enjoying the hot springs with poolside bar (can't beat looking up at the mountains as you sit in the pool!) and the amazing food. We... more

We spent two nights at Chico in February with some friends and thoroughly enjoyed the pools, food, and unique facility. This was our 12th visit to Chico over a 25-year period so we've been able to watch this unique place evolve from a funky, quiet, rustic hotel to a busy resort that has a small conference center, includes luxury accommodations,... more

We stayed here while touring Yellowstone National Park in winter. We had read and heard about it from media and friends. It is as good as we hoped. We stayed in the very cheapest lodging, small cabins up on the hill that were very nicely decorated and comfortable. Wonderful food at the restaurant- smoked trout is a must try! And... more

My wife and I recently had a wonderful stay at Chico's. We had never stayed at Chico previously, but found it listed in the Fodor's guide and decided to give it a try. We were looking for a romantic spot to end a four day winter vacation inside Yellowstone and the resort exceeded our expectations on every level. We stayed... more

I agree with the review from Jan 2009 - Chico Hot Springs has slipped immensely since we first began visiting over the past 8 years. I would not recommend this place for anyone that wants a quiet or romantic getaway any longer. It has turned into 'just another place". There is a huge gap between "nice rustic" and unmaintained and... more

We just spent 6 nights at Chico for our honeymoon and would go back next week if we could. We stayed in one of the cabins (708)on the hill overlooking the property which had a spectacular view of Paradise Valley. It was very clean and spacious with a newly appointed bathroom with jacuzzi tub/shower etc. Chico is a laid back... more
