We escaped here for a long weekend and stayed in a single queen room with a shared bath. The room and bath were kept well clean and maintained, and the price was just right. Looks like it could be time for carpet and bed cyclic replacement, but we realize we were in a lodge room with a much lower rate... More

This trip we stayed in the fisherman's lodge and the room was nice. Next time we go in the summer I would stay there again and in the main lodge in the winter. The hotel is charming. The hot spring pool is also a highlight, with new shower rooms the experience was perfect. Our dinner in the dining room was... More

My wife and I spent a Friday night here recently. We arrived around 3:30 pm and checked in to our room located in the Fishermans section. Regarding the Fishermans wing, do not stay in room 801, it is next to the laundry room and the cleaning crew arrives about 9 AM. The best rooms are the North 40 cabins. They... More

The food from the Dining room was excellent. The service we received was great everywhere. We stayed at one of the North 40 cabins which would be really nice with some updating. The bed wasn't comfortable and the sheets were like sleeping on sandpaper, old bedspread and lumpy pillows. The room was very clean. We expected a little more luxury... More

Thank you for your review and suggestions - we do have new mattresses coming for several of the N40 cabins - the sheets are always a little scratchy when they are new, until they have gone through the washer and dryer a few times. Appreciate your comments, thank you for being our guest! More

We stayed in the small chalet. It shows a lot of signs of wear and tear but was clean. The kitchen and bathroom had newer updates. Overall a roomy place to stay with nobody else staying around you. It also has a great view. The loft had three twin beds. My only complaint is that the beds were not that... More

Thank you for your review, 406Foodie. We enjoy the chalets too, they are great for families, giving a bit more privacy and lots of room, and agree the view from there is beautiful! Thank you for noticing the updates. The loft in the smaller chalet has three queen beds, and the loft in the larger chalet has three queen beds... More

I've stayed here several times, and came again a few days before Christmas. As always, the staff were friendly and very helpful. I got an extra nice, very clean, room on the ground floor, close to the dining area. I enjoyed the pool in the evening, and took in the excellent breakfast buffet in the morning. My only complaint was... More

We visited Chico due to the fact that the hot springs we originally planned to go to were closed and Chico was the nearest other hot spring. My visit was average, the large pool was exactly that, a pool, as the water was quite cold. Then, we went to the warmer pool and it was cold as well, not as... More

Thank you for your review, I'm concerned that you think the pools were cold, did you talk to any of our staff members during your stay and let them know about your concerns? We have not had any other similar comments, and our maintenance staff and pool attendants check temperatures on the pools throughout the day. Our large pool averages... More

Chico always has the most amazing food in the restaurant. The rooms are comfortable - especially in the old lodge. They make good cocktails as well. The water is pretty good here, but not the best in Montana. It's just warm; it is not really hot.
