This hotel facilities and activities are wonderful. I prefer to go in winter to avoid the throngs of summer tourists visiting Yellowstone NP and the surrounding area, plus the fall and winter are far more appealing to me personally. Winter activities are wonderful and so is the wildlife viewing.

My wife and I recently stayed overnight at the resort. Both of us are Montana natives and had never been there. We knew before arrival of the amenities and actually were looking forward to the relaxing environment. The pool is typical of a Montana hot spring. We elected for a room in the Warren Wing. You can hear the guests... More

If you are looking for an old West place to rest your weary bones, Chico is a good one. Nestled in the mountains this historic hotel is a great getaway. The decor of the main building is reminiscent of what you imagine an old West hotel to be. We stayed in a main floor room with a bath that was... More

We've stayed already several time at Chico: it is still a wonderful place to undwind. Check in didn't go as smooth as we are used to: the (she looked like she was pretty new) lady that checked us in, gave us the impression that we interupted something and wanted to get through the check in really fast. I had to... More

My husband and I just returned from a 2 night stay at the resort. The hot spring pools were warm and clean and relaxing. We stayed at the Lower Lodge and the room was huge, clean and the views of the surrounding areas were wonderful. There are many places to sit, in comfortable chairs, on the lawns and enjoy a... More

Nice room for the price. I stayed in shared bath and worked out great. The room I was in looked out onto roof of adjacent section of hotel. Guess better than no window. Toiletries provided and lots of water was available beings they are working on their system. Only thing is front staff didn't explain layout very well when checking... More

My wife and I stayed three days and two nights after a visit to Yellowstone. The inn, which has operated since 1879, is located about 40 road miles north of Yellowstone. Beautiful location, nestled into some undulating washes at the base of the mountains. Elevation is 5,280 feet and you have a view of snow-capped mountains to the west. NOTE:... More

My husband and I came into Chico on our 3 week honeymoon road trip. They offer rates for any traveler and had a great feel to the resort. It felt very homey and the ENTIRE staff was friendly. We brought our two dogs and they were welcomed as well. (There was a pet fee). We stayed in the Main Lodge... More

This hotel/Resort & Spa is where you go to RELAX! UNPLUG and ENJOY. Joe the night manager is excellent. Try the Chico Day Spa (Donna at the front desk of the spa is delightful) book a Chico massage (appx. $95 for 70 minutes includes a citrus foot scrub and hot rocks) and pick up some great bath and body goodies... Stayed in the Fisherman's Lodge...very clean, loved the front lawn for kids to play. Short walk to the pools and main hotel. Front desk was nice and helpful & friendly bar staff. Unfortunately, had a terrible dining experience in the pool diner, very unfriendly wait-staff. Sat down and waited 10mins with no help, went and asked for menus...another 10mins went... More
