beautiful setting for a fun inexpensive day at a hot spring. property seems to be stuck in the 1940's, but that only adds to the charm. decent food and drinks, all at a reasonable price. fun for the whole family.

Don't expect frills, turn-down service, or a chocolate on your pillow. There is a reason this "resort" books out more than a year in advance! There is nothing like it. The old Main Building still has rooms with a shared bathroom. There are newer and more comfortable accommodations. Spend time talking to a reservationist to be sure you're getting what... More

Chico's Hot Spring Resort was the perfect place to rendezvous with family out west. I was a bit hesitant knowing that our bathroom facilities were down the hall, but the reality of the matter was it only added to the charming ambience of Chico's! The food was 5 star , as well as the attentive service from the staff. We... More

We are repeat guests here and love the atmosphere, gardens, warm pool and food. Rooms are always clean and the pinenut encrusted rockfish a definite favorite. Views and hikes from the resort provide an authentic Montana experience.

Mini-family reunion in late July. Big comfortable rooms in the Warren Wing, loved sitting on the porch outside our rooms and chatting. Highlights: The whitewater rafting trip on the Yellowstone River down Yankee Jim canyon (although I don't think they should call the 1.5-hour trip a "half day") on class II and III rapids, and our private dinner in the... We were at the resort for a wedding; we got one of the North 40 cabins, which gave us privacy and a quiet place to rest each evening. And just 30 minutes to Yellowstone or up to Livingston. It would be neat to visit in winter.

Lovely resort. Quaint rooms in the main building (most affordable). Hot spring pools are actually hot, we loved that! Nice short hike up to a private pond. Amazing restaurant and bar, the lamb was fantastic. Recommended: try their unique orange dessert - possibly the best! Finally, walk around the garden on-site, used by the chef in the kitchen. Highly recommended!

Spacious room, gorgeous grounds, very friendly and helpful staff! The dining experience was superb - delicious food done to perfection! The historic facilities were beautifully maintained, and the geo- thermal greenhouse and garden were impressive. Excellent service!! We loved it all!

We stayed at the resort for a week and enjoyed it very much. This is not a luxury resort -- it is a family friendly place which is convenient to Yellowstone. The rooms are very simple, and need to be updated. Our bathroom had a molded plastic tub/shower surround (I haven't seen these in a hotel for about 20 years),... More

Quaint historic lodge 20 miles north of the northern entrance to yellowstone. We had a large room that was very comfortable. While we were there, there was an outdoor presentation of Shakespeare's As You Like It. The restaurant food was good but not memorable, and the naturally heated hot springs pool was interesting and usable but could have used some... More
