The Red Lion looks pretty cheesy when you first pull in, especially in Fall when leaves tend to pile up around the walkways or winter when the parking lot is alternately slushy and icy. It's not really downtown, despite its claims, so don't imagine you'll be taking any leisurely strolls, and stay away from the Chinese restaurant on the premises... more

I booked this hotel based on location and price. I wanted to be close to downtown, and it is. The price seemed very reasonable, and it was. This is actually a very nice hotel in disguise as an older motel. On the outside, it's nothing fancy - outdoor walkways, not the most attractive paint color... but on the inside, they have really made this a nice place to stay.
