The shower was very poor, small plastic tube. Room came with a kitchenette which we thought would be handy, till we realized there were no pots, pans, dishes or cutlery of any kind rendering it useless. The small fridge still had a frozen pizza in the freezer, well outdated and sitting there for who knows how long. The free breakfast... More

Stayed here for a week while taking advantage of some great flyfishing and historical sightseeing. Since we were outdoors most of the time, we weren't fussy about the older decor. The place was super clean, the continental breakfasts were far better than some pricier motels we stayed in, and the staff were unfailingly friendly and courteous. The kitchenette was handy... More

The price is decent for the area, but that's about it. The bedroom area was relatively clean and the staff was pleasant, but there was an extremely unpleasant odor in the room and the shower was abysmal. The shower was just a tiny plastic cube that sprayed water in every direction. No place to set down toiletries, and not very... More

This motel is above the Clark Fork River. It has spacious rooms and is well cared for. The management is very hospitable and helpful. Best of all, it is dog oriented and has special rooms set aside with easy access to a place where you get to use your plastic bag. Most important of all, there is a footbridge nearby... More

Older, but half the cost of modern motel next door. Large, clean room, with couch for watching TV. Desk clerk pointed us to great restauant of the type we wanted. This place will be our choice next time we visit Missoula.

The Family Inn is a fantastic motel to go if you're on a bit of a budget. I believe it was very fairly priced for the exemplary service we experienced. All of our needs were accommodated, we had lots of help finding things to do around town, we enjoyed the spacious pool and were treated to great customer service all... More

The motel is a bit outdated but the service we received outweighted the cons. Shirley at the front desk was the best. She's got a great personality and was very accommodating to our needs, especially since we were traveling with young children. The rooms have a small kitchenette and the shower is also small and there is no tub. A... More

When driving across Montana I wasn't sure how far I would get in one day. In Livingston I decided that I would spend the night in Missoula - figured it was a college town and would have some inexpensive hotels near bars etc (was hoping to watch the World Cup!) The Family Inn were helpful on the phone and offered... More

The Family Inn is a great little budget hotel (please note, the one other review of this hotel at the time of this writing is NOT the one in Missoula). We stayed there for three weeks while waiting to move into our house. They had a great weekly rate (a little over $300 a week) including very basic daily housekeeping,... More
