Goldsmith's Bed and Breakfast has it all. Stellar location, distinctive character, white glove cleanliness and outstanding service define this Missoula landmark. I travel to Missoula twice a month for work and I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. Book a stay at Goldsmith's and you will be glad you did. The breakfasts are absolutely outstanding as well. more

This was the second time we have had the pleasure of staying at Goldsmith's Inn. When we knew that we were returning to Missoula, there was no question as to where we would stay again. Everything was pleasing and our son Gerry loved the river view from our room! more

I've stayed at Goldsmith's at least once a year for maybe 15 years and keep coming back. It's the only place to stay if you want a great location, great breakfast, pleasant staff and well kept up. I stay in lots of B&B's and it's nice not to have the staff or owners pouring over you with "how and why... more

Had the best room in the house..2 rooms overlooking the wonderful river; room clean but could use some upgrading on furniture to be a bit more contemporary (kind of like aunt Hilda's). Young folk nice but have to break through the veneer - a bit stiff - but serviced every whim cheerfully. B'fast very nice - had to ask for... more

On our 12-day trip, this was the "blah" of the accomodations. It was very clean. except for the blood drippings on a pillow sham, and quiet; but there isn't anyone consistently on-site (I don't think). A pleasant young man was there to check us in, but the breakfast help was a bit scary. The crepes were not tasty. It was... more

I stayed @ GBB last year and again last week. In between, my wife and I stayed at a couple of marvelous B&Bs on the East Coast. This points up what Goldsmith's could be. The owners are not on site. It shows. The hired help is young, and while nice, it's not the same as having the owners there. There's... more

My memories of this place from 15 years ago did not match today's reality. The owners are not on site and it shows. Attention to detail is sorely lacking. The place needs a very thorough cleaning and an updating of fabrics, etc. The hired staff seems young, flip, extremely casual. Cleaning is sloppy/slap-dash. I could list a dozen "infractions" of... more

Beautiful location, quiet, comfortable, within easy walking distance of downtown and University of Montana. It’s lovely to be right on the river. That said, service is not what you might expect at such a well-appointed B&B. The owners who built the reputation of this place are apparently no longer living on site or in town, and during our weeklong stay,... more

A wonderful breakfast with the other guests in a lovely room followed by a footbridge walk over one of Montana`s finest trout rivers (you can see the trout from one of the rooms) to a city river park and the U of Montana`s new football stadium. That takes about 10 minutes (unless you stop to fish or watch the tailgaters... more

Well located in Missoula, close to the University and along the river. The staff is really friendly and the breakfast is really good. Atmosphere is really cosy and rooms are well decorated if you like this old fashion style. When you book try to avoid the rooms on the street where you can hear all night long the trains' horn!... more
