This was a great place to stay with our two kids, ages 5 and 4! Very good breakfast each morning, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Close to downtown Missoula and right next door to a grocery store which was also very convenient! Great place to stay!

Boyfriend and I stayed at the Thunderbird in June, as we were in town for a Primus concert (PRIMUS!!!). We were looking for a cheap, cheap stay somewhere, as we had thrown our trip together last minute and didn't have much cash for spending this time around. We stopped into the Thunderbird to find that it did have rooms available,... More

I stayed 10 days at the Thunderbird in November -- my first impression was that the room stinks and is run down. Pretty much my final impression was that the room stinks and is run down. Bedding and towels were clean. Nice inclusion is the fridge and microwave. Breakfast is minimal but OK. I did like the view down the... More

We came to this hotel thinking it would be really nice, it was family owned which we always support compared to the big corporate hotels. It turned out to be the worst mistake ever. We went up to the room to a freezing cold room, so we wanted to jump in our Jacuzzi we had paid extra for. We filled... More

Sure, it's an older property - but the rooms have been kept clean and are roomy. Ours came with a refrigerator and microwave. The WiFi worked well (we were about halfway down the building). I didn't like the cramped parking lot in front, but we parked our car in the back lot and that had plenty of room. There's a hallway... More

We really liked this motel. The staff were friendly, and the wifi was excellent. I am giving it 3 stars simply because it is a bit older and needs a bit more TLC to upgrade carpets, soft beds and furnishings. It is quiet, there is surprisingly good pool, a sun deck and a small weights room. It is excellent value... More

This is one of the worst places I've ever seen. Carpet was filthy (feet "stick" to it). TV didn't work. Bed was imploded. Paint peeling. Something enjoyed eating me for a late night snack ((bedbugs??)). Towel rack hanging from the wall. Every piece of furniture was badly stained. Everything was awful ... except that they did return my $80 (that's... More

I was passing through with my sister and a friend, wanted to stay In Missoula and decided to try the Thunder Bird. Very nice welcome - clean room and plenty of room for the three of us. A bonus was the pool. Breakfast isn't much (we skipped it and went on down the road for a full meal), but there's... More

I typically a hotel snob and perfer chains, so when my husband suggested the Thunderbird, I was a little leary. when checking in, the staff was very friendly. It appears to be family run. We were gven a discount because there were no 1 bed non-smoking rooms. The room we had was very spacious - 2 beds, a table &... More
