This hotel was decent enough for an overnight stay on a road trip. The downside was that it was several miles off the highway in a depressed part of town, with several casinos and vacant shops in the area. The outside of the motel looked dreary but the rooms looked recently redone with simple but newer furnishings. Our room was... more

I called to make my reservation as we arrived the same day. I was able to ask for a discount (AAA). I had researched and this had very good reviews. The room was spotless clean. The lighting was great, draperies and bed covers top notch. Bathoom was small, but perks were the microwave and small fridge in the room. Breakfast... more

The motel doesn't look like much from the outside, but the service was very friendly and helpful, the rooms nicely done (looked like new furnishings). Bed was comfortable. Nice chairs to sit in. Shower surround has problems, but was easy to over look with great water pressure from the shower head. Make your own waffles for breakfast. Would stay there... more

I wondered how a modest price motel could have one of the highest Trip Advisor ratings in Missoula, but the Val-U-Inn is better than most motels in its price class. Favorable impressions begin at the reception counter where we found a plate of fresh baked cookies set out for guests. Service was very friendly. We had a good size room... more

Great place for the price. We paid $76 per night plus taxes. Room was large and very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Bathroom and vanity were small, but hey, I don't spend much time in there anyway. Several resturants and a shopping mall nereby. We would highly recommend this motel, more

I was a bit skeptical of this property when I first heard of it, because it sounds like some tourist court from the 1930's. But it is in most respects, including modernity, the equal of a Holiday Inn Express or Comfort Inn. About the only typical amenity that was absent was in-room coffee, but considering how bad that usually tastes,... more

My family and I stayed at nine different hotels in sixteen days and surprisingly all of them were great (thanks in part to reading reviews from fellow travelers at TripAdvisor). For three adults, the AAA Rate was $79.18, including taxes. The room was medium sized and quite clean, and included two very nice beds, a clock radio, a regular chair,... more

I loved this hotel for the staff. I came into town very very tired after business meetings and travel. the staff at the night desk were very kind and helpful. very clean rooms, nice furniture. the hot tub wasn't working, too bad, could have used a soak after my long travel day. the bed in the room had bad springs... more

We weren't expecting much from the Val-U-Inn, between the price and the name, but decided to try it after reading the reviews here. We spent a couple of nights in mid July, and were immediately impressed with the friendly staff, who were happy to answer all our questions about the area and pick up a third member of our party... more

This is a nice little hotel. Very clean, which I feel is important. Remodeled. Quiet, and a great value. I am picky and rarely walk away from a hotel loving it but I would definately stay there again! more
