Spent the night there and had a couple of meals, friendly family run operation. Clean and neat as a pin rooms and bathroom. Very cool step back in time and would recommend to anyone who doesn't need a pool, spa or gym.

Food and service in this establishment is excellent! One of my favorite restaurant , food is great all the time! I'm hooked with Cheryl's apple pie, really yummy! Totally worth a drive but you need to call first just to make sure they are open. Restaurant is closed during winter :-( I miss their food and can't wait to head... More

Family owned. Great pie, homemade food, tidy, cozy, comfortable. And the only place to eat in town! Better hope it is open! And worth a short detour from US 12 to get there anyway. Actually it is a few miles shorter to detour via Martinsdale rather than stay on US 12 if travelling between Harlowton and Helena. Both ways are... More

What a delightful Inn! After vising the Bair Museum we decided to check out Martinsdale, hoping for some lunch. We discovered the Crazy Mountain Inn and had a wonderful time. It is a very rustic spot with wonderful food and service. We did not stay overnight but asked if we could check out the rooms upstairs. They were all so... More

This is a old inn that is located downtown Martinsdale. There is a small cafe that is open for lunch and dinner. The menu is mostly sandwiches and soups. They do claim to have the best chicken fried steak. We had the mushroom and swiss burger, the crazy mountain burger and the open faced roast beef sandwich. All were very... More

This is a very old, rustic hotel that's used mostly by hunters. Bathroom down the hall. No heat in the rooms, just downstairs, and it comes up the stairway. Very "homey." The owner had several suggestions for activities. The Bair Museum about a mile away is a must see for anyone who's in the area. The food at the hotel... More

My daughter and I spent a Saturday night here while visiting the area this past weekend. In a town of 35, it's a cozy, rustic hotel with rooms upstairs with a shared bathroom and a restaurant downstairs. We had a small room with a twin and double bed and a dresser. It was stuffy with one small window but cooled... More

Don't expect fancy amenities here, but do expect a gorgeous, small town setting and an off-the-beaten-track experience. Rooms are small, but comfy, and during our stay, we were the only ones in the hotel, so we did have a private bath. One of the great attractions here is the home cooking: the chicken-fried steak is practically world famous. They also... More

Want to experience the real old west? Few places are left, so don't miss this opportunity. It's like staying in your Gramma's house, if Gramma had a dozen + bedrooms. The heat comes from a wood stove in the parlor, which floats up the staircase to the rooms upstairs. The bathroom is large and contains a clawfoot tub and separate... More

The Crazy Mountain Inn was an old hotel serving miners at the turn of the century. This delightful inn now is run by Peter and Cheryl, with love, laughter and an eye for comfort. The rooms are furnished like the old days, but very comfortable and quaint. There are no rooms with private bath; you share a large bathroom down... More
