We found this hotel via Trip Advisor and made a one night reservation as a stop on our way to Yellowstone. It was a real treat! This is the kind of hotel where people meet and come back year after year. Our suite ( which had a kitchenette) was tastefully decorated and VERY comfortable! You do have to ask the... More

A landmark in Livingston for 75 years. Gateway city to Yellowstone a big part of town's history. Great updated comfortable rooms. Superb restaurant. Dated charming elevator service must be requested but 24 hour attendant available. Parking nearby a problem in summer months. No designated lot. Train station across the street.

First off, this is a historical building, but the rooms have modern amenities. We found out that the rooms are actually condominiums that you can buy and then rent to the hotel guests or use for yourself. Each room is decorated differently, but the ones that I saw maintain the vintage feel you get when you enter the hotel's lobby.... More

We have been staying at the Murray for years when we are in Livingston. No two rooms are alike and all are utterly charming. The hotel is so well located, and between two of Livingston's best restaurants. We have NEVER had difficulty parking near the hotel and, since it's across the street from the old train station, there is parking... More

Very elegant, old-west style hotel - absolutely gorgeous! The ONLY complaint I'd have is about the parking, or the lack thereof - there's NO parking lot for hotel guests, or really any options for parking, other than fending for yourself with the limited street parking. There are residential areas close to the hotel and you can park there, but we... More

As we were choosing our vacation route around Yellowstone, we looked at a number of the small towns in Montana. I saw Livingston and went out to do research about the town. The town is rich in history and the hotel fit right in there. The hotel is 110 years old. It was built next to the train station for... More

It's a classic hotel that dates back to the 1800's and has great charm and character. The rooms are comfortable. My bathroom had been redone with a glass shower. It's in the center of Livingston across the street from the historic train station and next door to Dan Baileys Fly Shop. Both restaurants and the bar have great food. It's... More

We attended Summerfest in Livingston and stayed at The Murray Hotel. Our room was exceptionally clean and the bed was very very comfortable. The Murray is downtown just off Main Street and the location is terrific. Two staffers were great and one was cranky---she needs to smile. The Bar is busy and should be air conditioned---just a little noisy and... More

We decided to stop over in Livingston on the way to Yellowstone National Park. The hotel was a little gem. Rooms were well decorated, the hotels was well maintained and has maintained its old feel. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Location is perfect in downtown Livingston and near coffee shops and resturants. Try the resturant down stairs, great food.... More

Room felt like staying in the Ritz, hotel was authentically western. Bedding outstanding. Views from the 4th floor spectacular. The one caution is that wifi is spotty at best...should be upgraded to the standard of the rooms (vs the year the hotel was founded). Highly recommended if you're in the area.
