Had enough winter driving on I-90 and stopped at Livingston for the night. Beautiful authentic hotel right out of the wild west. Great lobby. Staff was friendly and attentive. On street parking right out front--perfect for overnight, but don't leave your car past 11 AM or "Sheila" will write you a ticket. We were back on the road by 7... More

We love staying in historic hotels. The Murray did not disappoint. The room was spacious and comfortable. The location is ideal. Make sure you visit the train station exhibit that is right across the street. Lot's of great restaurants in walking distance. The elevator was a real adventure. I can't believe that old thing still works but it does. Truly... More

The "Mur-ray" is an old time hotel in a cool old time town. It fits the historic town with old west decor but modern flare touches. Close to everything, to shop and eat as well as the sound of the railroad which adds to the old west flavor. Small room but comfortable with comfy bed and furnishings. Would defiantly return.

My sister and I stayed in the Sam Peckinpaw Suite several months ago. Everything was delightful including the different views from every window. I love trains, so didn't need to use the earplugs. I only wish there had been more of them. (trains, that is). We loved visiting the various bars in the town, including the Elks Lodge, and all... More

My husband and I stayed here on our first overnight visit to Livingston and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel looks and feels like an old western hotel (which it is!) with everything a modern day traveler needs. Very comfortable with a helpful and friendly staff. I look forward to my next visit.

Stayed here on my first visit to Livingston. The hotel exudes that old west ambiance. The hotel was built at the beginning of the twentieth century for Yellowstone tourists getting off the train. The elevator is still manually operated! The rooms are a little odd as it looks like they made one big room out of what were once two... More

What would you think if you could stay at a 100 year old hotel where the great film director Sam Peckinpaw, AND, Will Rodgers, an icon of the West stayed. You'd think, that's pretty neat. Well indeed Cowboy, it is neat and well worth stating at the Murray hotel. All units are semi - suites or apartments. Well furnished with... More

We booked a room September 10th thru Expedia for Sep 13th, 2014. I called to inquire about the booking and was informed that I had no reservation. They had been sold out since Aug. 30th and either had neglected to communicate with the booking company or Expedia failed to inform us. Interestingly another couple that was checking in had the same... More

Dear Beware, I am truly sorry this happened to you. Unfortunately sometimes human error takes place on one end or the other. Expedia takes great pride in servicing their clients as does my hotel. It is always heartbreaking when something like this happens however when dealing with thousands of reservations, things do at times go wrong. As you learned from visiting... More

I love this hotel almost as much as I love this town. Where else would you stay? It's great. Such a throwback to another time, but with modern conveniences. The staff is lovely. Having said that, I might suggest a couple of small fixes. Fix the front hotel door so it doesn't slam but closes gently. Close the door the... More

Classic Hotel with atmosphere is exactly what we are at the Murray. Thank you so much for your review and I appreciate your comments regarding our front door. It does slam shut awfully fast and loud! A new door closer is on it's way. I want to mention that we do have air conditioning in every room. We have a... More
