My wife and I spent a couple of nights at the lodge after seeing it on Travelzoo. We were pleasantly surprised on our arrival. We stayed in a small cabin with a patio overlooking the Yellowstone river and a wonderful view. The cabin had a very comfortable bed and soft pillows. The shower was very good and the towels were... We visited the Yellowstone Valley Lodge again since our first visit was very pleasant. It turned out even better than before. The manager, Jim, was very hospitable and helped us every way he could. The weather was great and the place has several improvements. In particular, we think the breakfast was even better. This will become one of our regular... More

Thanks for coming back to visit us. We're glad we can make improvements over the years and always happy to help. And of course it is always nice if the weather cooperates! I'll be sure to tell the breakfast staff you enjoyed it, and we're glad you'll keep us on your list of places to stay. Thanks again! More

My husband and I are repeat customers of YVL. Everyone on the staff remembered us from last year. We felt so at home the moment we entered our cabin. Plush towels and excellent pillows are what stood out this year. Everything else in the cabin was as expected. YVGrill is still cranking out the best food in the area. Really... More

On 8/18, I wrote the following review on YVL hotel's website: "On Thursday 8/14, I went fishing so this problem didn't arise. On Friday 8/15, there was NO hot water with which to take a morning shower! When I spoke to the staff, they said it was because they were Sold Out? If they knew this could happen, then why... More

Hello again, Let me extend our heartfelt apologies for your experience at your Lodge. I'm afraid I did not receive a response after my previous correspondence. However, to answer your questions: -The issue was not that we were out of hot water due to our occupancy, just that we were unfortunately able to provide you with an alternate room to... More

Friendly staff, comfy beds, and the river and mountain view from the patio is beautiful. However, the walls are paper thin. We stayed in a cabin (two rooms per cabin), and not only could I hear word-for-word conversations and a baby crying in the next room, but I also could hear each step that was taken through the floors. It... More

Stayed at YVL for 3 nights on a recent fishing trip to Montana. The place was terrific. We had one of the cabins and it was perfect for the guys trip. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was fine, and the view from the patio area was great. The best part of the place was the restaurant on site. The food was... More

After spending the day at Yellowstone, we headed north & spent 2 nights here to decompress from a week of being on the road. Setting was beautiful, staff very helpful, food excellent. 2 gas firepits with lots of seating. Room was very comfortable. Nice patio facing the river. Breakfast was yummy --- homemade quiche both mornings! We recommend!

This place is fifteen miles from Livingston. It is a beautiful place along the river with a patio on the room that overlooks the river. The rooms were clean and the surroundings were quiet. They have a restaurant on premises but you need a reservation. We are glad we stayed here. The person that checked us in was helpful and... More

I really enjoyed my time here. I'm sure my blood pressure dropped just from the sound of the river! But take your own water, wine, snacks. No room service, no late night snacks. It's a basic cabin, ideal if you go prepared. A great location under the big sky.

Family and friends trip to Yellowstone. Book well in advance! Our friends able to book a 2 bedroom cabin with kitchen. It was lovely! We had a room with 2 queens like traditional hotel room. It was clean. Best feature-porch overlooks Yellowstone River. 2 Adirondack chairs to sit and enjoy. Kids loved playing cards in the lodge. Leather sofas and... More
