Love this place. We have been there three times and will come back every year. Cute and clean cabins, awesome dining room and free breakfast, hiking, fishing, and relaxing are the orders of the day. The owners treat you like family. Really neat cowboy bar, pool table and fireplace lounge. Miles of dirt road to get there but worth it... More

I've stayed three times and am going back in July with 8 family members to fish. It won't be the last trip for sure. Clean and comfortable cabins, great food, fantastic scenery, and a quaint cowboy bar to boot. Craig and Lerina and Laurel and Jake truly treat you like friends. Elk lake is and continues to be an annual... More

Elk Lake Lodge is a perfect place for anyone seeking a quiet oasis in a wilderness landscape. The setting is gorgeous, with great mountain views. Nearby walks are colored by multiple kinds of wildflowers. We found one we'd never seen before--a rare calypso orchid, or fairy slipper. The meadow the seven cabins encircle is filled with blue birds; elsewhere we... More

We are glad you had such a nature-filled stay. It helps that Elk Lake is so close to the Red Rock Lakes Bird Refuge, for sure. Thank you for your generous review. More

Every time I stay at Elk Lake Resort, I just don't want to leave. I guide nature photography trips and one of my go to places is this resort. There are awesome photography opportunities right outside your cabin. Then there is Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge and the Centennial Valley as a whole just down the road. To the... More

You kind of have to find this spot but it is worth it. Red Rock Lakes are full of birds. Rustic little place that is comfortable, decent food. We have been a few times over the years. Good place to fish or just put your feet up.

If you want to get away, really away, this is a fabulous escape. 30 miles from anything, and completely off the grid. Comfortable, very clean and private little cabins, right by gorgeous Elk Lake. Really tasty food pours out of Lerrina's kitchen. Craig is helpful and has the whole place in great shape. The Centennial Valley is as beautiful as... More

My husband and I recently vacationed in Montana with my sister, her husband and our niece. With this being our first experience in this amazingly beautiful and majestic state our stay at Elk Lake Resort heightened our trip from the familiar Northeast to a place "off the grid". Having never stayed for any length of time at such a remote... More

Words are not enough. Craig and Lerrina Collins and their children and employees were impeccable at making my friends and me feel like family. They went completely out of their way to accomodate us. They held dinner for us when we were late and even brought lunch to us when we fished at hidden lake a few miles away. The... More

Our annual fishing trip to Elk Lake was once again a great success! Lerrina,Craig,Anna,Hanna,Nate and the rest of the staff go all out to make sure our stay with them is first class. The food is wonderful and the scenery is breathtaking. My only complaint is that I have to leave.

My fishing buddies and I met at Elk Lake Resort for our annual get-together. What a blast! The hosts, Craig and Lerrina, go all out to insure that our trip is too good to pass up. Our group of ten guys were treated to first class service including three meals a day, well kept fishing boats and clean, comfortable cabins... More

Thank you for your kind words. It is always a pleasure to greet return guests. It brings the excitement of returning friends/family. When you all leave, we always say "Good-Bye" with a hint of sadness - yet with the anticipation of next year's visit. With such great guests, it's our privilege to serve! Lady of the Lake More
